Cute Card Thursday

Challenge # 15 is

Birthdays

For my card I thought I'd try something different and decided to follow Claudia's brilliant tutorial for a double pocket card. Thanks for the tutorial Claudia you made it so easy to follow. I've used a Stampin Up simply scrappin kit for this. I was given the girl image by Christine , thanks Christine, but for the life of me I can't remember who makes them or what they are called!! She is like a dress up doll , you have the main body then dress up clothes for her to put on. I've put her clothes and accessories on with 3D pads to give them some depth. They have been coloured in the usual way with prismas and zest it.

Here's the two tags for the pockets. Again I've used the SU kit and some Bo Bunny rub ons.

If you'd like to join in with the Cute Card Thursday challenge then you can find all the details here

http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

As always the DT have made some stunning creations with lots of ideas for you. This week there is also some blog candy on offer. All you have to do is leave a comment on the blog with a link to your work and one randomly chosen person will win the goodies!!
Good luck!

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's challenge was certainly a challenge for me!! But I've done my best. This week it's

A Midsummer's Night Dream

To join in the fun with us, just create an ATC using at least one Magnolia stamp
- the facts and figures for ATCs are on the side bar. You don't have to take
your inspiration from Shakespeare's play, anything that reminds you of a
mid-summer evening/night will be fine.

We have a guest designer this week which is Jacqui and she chose this theme as it is her favourite Shakespeare play.

Ok you can laugh if you want to :0). I covered a blank ATC with some mesh dark blue material. I then coloured in Tilda and added some paper wings and a flower hat. Her skirt is also made out of mesh material. I added some diamond stickles to her sleeves and socks. And then I coloured in the toadstools and adhered them to the bottom of the ATC. I was thinking along the lines of fairies in the play? :0)

The DT have done a great job , why not go and have a look and get some inspiration? You can find all the details here

http://tildaandfriends.blogspot.com/

This week there is a Magnolia chair stamp up for grabs, so all you have to do is leave a comment with a link to your work and you could be the lucky one!!

Have fun! :0)

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Feelin' Hot Hot Hot!!

is the theme of the Papertake challenge this week. Reds, oranges, hot pinks and yellows. I think my card fits that well don't you? :0)

I've used one of the fantastic Rakle Krilla stamp and coloured her in with hot pink and orange. I layered her onto some orange cardstock and added the pink zoomz and a little thin pink ribbon. The papers have been cut into different sized panels and I've covered the joins with some pink ribbon.
The sentiment is a rub on and more zoomz are added onto the spots at the bottom of the card.

Stamps:- Krilla , Rakle Stamps
Papers:- Memories Complete
Rub ons:- Bo Bunny

I've used Lola with gift and coloured her with prismas and zest it and then layered her onto patterned paper and then onto cardstock. I cut out two of the roses that are on the inner paper and used 3D pads to adhere them to the front of the card.

Milly

We've had Milly for just over 3 weeks now and boy how she has grown!! She's now 12 weeks old and I think she is going to be a big dog. Look how she's grown , to me she doesn't look so much like a puppy now but a gangly teenager!!
She's been really good and is completely toilet trained, she can obey commands like sit, stay, come, leave it, lie down. The only thing is that she is still getting us up several times a night to be let out for a wee. But she is good as gold.

Tilda & Co Challenge Blog

Today's challenge which is # 24 for the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog is

Serendepity

If you don't have a clue what it is try this link

http://www.scrapjazz.com/topics/Techniques/Serendipity/35.php

I used lots of bits and pieces of paper that I had left over from my stash. I glued them randomly onto a piece of card overlapping them all then gold embossed some stamped images all over it. I then cut them into 2"x2" squares but you can cut them to whatever size you want. To make the corners I just cut four diagonals. I then glued the four squares onto some green card. For the background of the card I used a plain white card and cut out a rust piece of card 4cms smaller than the card blank. I embossed the flowers in black ink and clear embossing powder. and adhered it to the card. Next I added the serendepity piece of card with 3D pads. I coloured in the Tilda and chair with prismas and zest it and adhered them to the middle of the card with 3D pads. The "just for you" is a little square greeting that came free with a mag and then I just added the ribbon and hung it with a brad.

Not too sure serendepity is my "thing" but I had fun trying it out.
Stamps:- Magnolia, SU and foam stamps
Papers:- DCWV

Why not have a go at this week's challenge. It's fun to do!! If you would like all the details and some inspiration just check out the blog and you'll see the other DT creations. You can find it here

Cute Card Thursday

Challenge # 14 for the Cute Card Thursday challenge this week is

3 different types of embellishments

e.g. buttons, brads, ribbons

And here is my card. I used High Hopes stamps and coloured them in with prismas and zest it. I cut around the background and giraffe and layered it onto some cardstock. For the explorer I cut out an oval and layered him onto that. I've used wild saffron papers. My 3 embellies are chipboard buttons, the ribbon they are layered onto and some brads.

Stamps:- High Hopes
Papers:- Wild Saffron
Buttons:- K&Co
Oval:- Cricut cartridge - Plantin

The DT always amaze me with their cards, they are always so inspirational. You can see for yourself and also all the details on how to join in are here

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This weeks challenge is a good way to use up all those left over bits of paper.

Bits & Pieces

The challenge this week is to use some of those bits and pieces of card and
paper which we all have lying around on our desks. We would like you to make
your ATC using bits and pieces which measure no more than 1" x 2" (2.5cm x 5cm)
- we won't be measuring though!

So for my ATC I used up lots of bits of my leftover papers and tore the sides of them. I coloured the "punky" looking Edwin in with prismas and zest it. Because I think Edwin looks punky I added some coloured staples to the top and bottom of the ATC. The "all boy" was made with my dymo machine.

Stamps:- Magnolia
Papers:- leftover bits from my stash
Lettering:- Dymo machine

There are some gorgeous ATCs again from the Design Team this week on the blog. Why not pop over and have a look and maybe get some inspiration?

For all the details look here

A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge

New week, new challenge and this time it's a recipe!!!

3- 2- 1

Take 1 Sugar Nellie stamp
3 brads/buttons
2 patterned papers
1 bloom

I tried to be a bit different this week and use my watercolour pencils, a bit more practise or back to the prismas I think!!! Her hat and her dungarees were coloured using the same pencil but seemed to have come out two different colours??? Anyway I've use pink paislee papers and prima papers for the two patterned papers. For the strip across the middle I used cardstock and then embossed it with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The sentiment is a rub on and is from Bo Bunny. And to finish off the recipe I've used 3 flower brads and a bloom. The bottom left corner looked a little bare so I added a narrow piece of ribbon to the image with a little basket of tulips charm to hang down.

Papers: Pink Paislee & Prima
Stamps:- Sweet Ebony- picking apples
Cuttlebug embossing folder:- stylized flowers
Sentiment:- Bo Bunny rub on

There is a chance to win a stamp this week too. And it's the one I have used on my card "Pickin Apples". All you have to do is leave a comment on the blog with a link to your work and Deb will randomly pick a winner. Please go and have a look at the DT work on the blog , stunning as usual and I'm sure they will give you some inspiration to make your own "recipe" card.

All the details can be found here
