I've got a few HOTP monthly kits left from when I used to subscribe so I thought I'd dig one out today and use it. So all the papers and embellies come from a HOTP kit. I've coloured the Alota stamp image with prismas and zest it and added glossy accents to the bugs black areas and all the paint bits. I've also added some diamond stickles to the bug's wings.
I wanted it to look like a fancy dress party card, don't think it does though!! The base card was cut out using my Cricut as it has an aperture in the middle with a balloon shape cut out. I used HOTP papers for this one. The hexagons were also cut out with the Cricut. And of course the images are stamps from Alota. Cute aren't they? They come in an unmounted sheet and are called Paper Doll. They come in two sizes and you can find them here.
The challenge this week is to make a card using animal images only - NO PEOPLE.

I've had this stamp for ages but hardly used it, but I don't know why not it's so cute. I don't know why but my colouring wasn't very good on this card, I used the same method prismas and zest it, but it looks patchy and I overdid the white pen!This week we are happy to introduce you to Michelle who is our second Once a

Here is mine. I used two Magnolia stamps and coloured them in with prismas and zest it. I was a bit naughty as I cut his wings off. For the background I used some scraps that I had left over and then I added the bone brad. I found these brads in some drawers, funny the things you find that you didn't realise you had!! And then I used my around the block tape writer. I love my new tape writer as you're not stuck with just one font.http://tildaandfriends.blogspot.com/

For my girly card I've used Kelly Panacci papers. I love these and have been trying to not use them as I only have a few scraps left, but I couldn't resist. The main image is a Hanglar image that I received from Debbie, thanks Debbie :0). I've used prismas and zest it to colour her in. I layered her onto a scalloped circle. I've used two little charms with brads to carry on the gardening theme of the watering can. Then I've used zoomz down the right side and bottom left.
Here it is. I've used the Alota sofa for this and paper pieced it and also 3D it too. The two cute bugs have been coloured in with prismas and zest it. The little picture in the frame is a tiny Alota stamp which I coloured in again with the prismas and zest and put it into a frame cut with my cricut. I then went over the picture with diamond glaze. I've used a little clock charm too and stuck it with a gold brad to match the frame brad. All the papers are October Afternoon. The sentiment is made with the around the block tape writer and some of the same paper.
Make her Distressed looking, a little rough around the edges, a bit of
grungy!
So stay clear of these cute pastel colours if you can help it and get
down and dirty with tilda!
For my distressed Tilda card I used a K&Co patterned paper for the background and I sanded it all over and then rubbed over a distress ink pad.
