Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

Not too taxing theme this week for the ATC challenge it's

Bugs

This week's challenge is an easy one .. .. just show us your bugs! Now my garden
is full of greenfly and caterpillars but I'll soon sort them out - instead the
Design Team have come up with some stunning ATCs to inspire you with much
prettier little bugs - butterflies, bees, dragonflies and ladybugs. As long as
you have at least one Magnolia stamped image on your ATC you can join in the fun
with us, so your bugs could be brads, stickers or paper embellishments if you
don't have any of the Magnolia cuties you can see us using.

Here is my Bugs ATC. I've used one of the new Tilda stamps from the Spring club collection. The butterflies are also from Magnolia. I've paper pieced and coloured Tilda with the same papers that I've used for the background. The little bee is a stamps away stamp. All the papers and ribbon are from a Sarah's monthly card kit and guess what I don't know who the papers are by (again!) I used my dymo for the Bugzzzz.

Why not have a go yourself you can find all the details here on the blog

Stamps:- Magnolia & stamps away

Papers & ribbon:- Sarah's monthly card kit

Sentiment:- Dymo machine

Tilda & Co Challenge # 18

Sunday comes round again!! So fast! This week's challenge for the Tilda & Co blog is

Decoupage Magnolias

Now for this week..... I would love to see you decoupage with your magnolia
stamps.
This could be as simple as having a Tilda or Edwin, that is holding
something, you then stamp that image out twice, cut out the item he/she is
holding and then layer it up with foam pads or silicone glue, to give a 3d
effect
Or you could go totally wild and build up lot’s of layers.

Here's my card. The branches, leaves and Tilda's clothes and boots are all decoupaged. You can't see very well in the photo so I've put another one up of a side view. Tilda and her swing are from the Spring club collection. I cut out some extra leaves to make it look like they are falling off the tree. All coloured in with prismas and zest it with diamond stickles for her wings. The papers are from my Sarah's monthly card kit as are the blooms and "sweet" rub on.
Papers:- Cherry Arte
Rub ons:- Cherry Arte

Here's the side view you can just about see the layers. Sorry about the photos but I had to take it at night time with the light on and it cast a shadow.

Cute Card Thursday- Challenge # 8

This week's challenge is:-

In the Garden

This week, a nice easy theme, anything to do with gardens. Could be people
gardening, having fun in the garden, a garden scene or perhaps some little
animals you might find in the garden.

For this week's card I used a sketch by Katharina. Thank you :0) All the papers and die cuts are from the Fancy Pants range. The House Mouse image was sent to me (sorry can't remember who now!). I coloured it in with prismas and zest it and also added some diamond stickles to the flowers and butterflies. Also some glossy accents to the pink bits on the mice.
Papers:- Fancy Pants
Stamps:- House Mouse
Die cuts:- Fancy Pants
Sentiment:- Fancy Pants

Why not take part? All you have to do is make a cute card and leave a comment on the CCT blog with a link to your work. Some outstanding work on the blog by the DT. You're sure to get some inspiration from the cards shown

Here's the video and Milly Molly is the one who looks into the camera and whines!!

Our new baby

I had to show off these photos! We just got back from picking out our puppy. Here is Milly, she is 5 weeks old so we can't take her home just yet. It will be the 30th May when we get her. She is one of 8, 5 boys and 3 girls. And she is adorable. We got to meet her mum and she was the most sweet tempered dog I have ever met. Oh by the way Milly is a lab/retriever. We plan to make a few more trips before we pick her up to have a play with her and introduce her to the kids.
What do you think? Isn't she adorable?

I also have some video with me and Milly and her mum. I'm going to try and figure out how to put it on my blog later.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's ATC Challenge is

May Celebrations

Here in Cornwall we have lots of Spring celebrations and in years gone by
every village had it's May queen and dancing around the maypole in celebration
of the brighter and warmer days and the blossoming of the fruit trees. So this
week we would like to see your ATC creations with this theme.

I have to admit I found this a difficult one but this is what I came up with. Tilda and the watering can are both from the new Magnolia spring stamp club. They are coloured in with prismas and zest it. All the other bits are from my stash, little bits of left overs! I made a little bit of a change with the shape of the ATC I added a little tab to put the "may" on. All the edges of the ATC were inked with a cats eye chalk ink.

There's been some amazing creations on the ATC Challenges so far and I'd love to see more of your creations including this week's "May Celebration" ATCs. Just pop over to the blog and have a look at the other DT members work, so inspiring! You'll find all the details on how to join in too. You can find the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge blog here

Tyrrell's door hanger

A couple of posts back I made Robbyn a door hanger for the girly but blue challenge so Tyrrell asked me to make him one too. And here it is....

For the basic door hanger shape I used the Cricut cartridge, Tags, bags boxes and more and I've used Urban Lily papers for this one. The images are all Magnolia stamps from the Shabby Chic range. I've coloured them in with prismas and zest it. For the "Tyrrell" I used the Cricut cartridge Plantin Schoolbook. To finish it off and give it a bit of a grungy look I sponged over distress ink.

Stamps:- Magnolia

Papers:- Urban Lily

Cricut cartridges:- Tags, bags, boxes and more & Plantin Schoolbook

Tilda & Co Challenge Blog

This week's challenge is....

EYE EYE ITS A NATURAL FEELING....

For this week's challenge it's abit of a double up,I Would like to see you
use Eyelets if possible ( if you do not own them, then you can leave that part
out or use brads)Along with anything Natural, Could be fibres, Leaves, Straw,
Twigs, Papers etc as long as it is Natural with Eyelets ( if you have them
)

For my card I have used.... the background paper is a handmade paper with real petals in it. Tilda, the bale of hay and the horse have been paper pieced with the same natural handmade papers. The horse's hooves are paper pieced with petals, which was a bit difficult because they are so delicate and prone to tearing!! So a few choice words were used!! The horse's mane is wool. I used string to wind around the bale and then I used some rafia on the bottom of the card to make it look as if straw had been lain down. To finish off a dragonfly eyelet and three other eyelets have been used.

Stamps:- Magnolia
Papers:- handmade natural papers

This week there are two competitions on the blog. One to choose which DT winner did the best work. On the blog there is a poll for you to vote for the Design team member who did the best on the challenge.

Stamps:- Rubber Romance

Ismaki Challenge

It's # 16 of the Ismaki challenge this week and it's a sketch by Beatrix

I have to admit I had some trouble with this one fitting things on , so you'll have to forgive me as it's not 100% true to the sketch. But I did manage the option of using 4 patterned papers.

Here's my card. The Tilda is from the new shabby chic range. I'm loving these at the moment. Usual way of colouring, prismas and zest it. I used the cricut for the scallop and embossed it with a cuttlebug folder. All the papers are from the range Foof a la. The felt letters are from Making Memories and are called "note worthy".
You can find all the details for the challenge here
http://ismaki.wordpress.com/

Papers:- Foof a la
Stamps:- Magnolia
Scallops:- Cricut cartridge, mini monograms

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

Well this week Annie decided on the theme
"Going Dotty"
because she is going dotty! Annie has had lots of problems with her internet and computer.

Here's my dotty ATC. I was sent some gorgeous images from the new Shabby Chic range from Magnolia. How cute is she? She was coloured in with prismas and zest it and then I added some glitter gel to the dots on her hat and some diamond stickles to her wings. The fence was coloured in the same way and is from Magnolia too. The background paper is from a pad from HOTP. To the fence I added some little prima flowers with tiny diamond and gold peel offs. The sentiment was done by putting some co ordinating HOTP paper through my dymo to say "cute" and used a brad to stick it on. Oh and I also went around the edges of my ATC with a gold pen.

Papers:- HOTP
Stamps:- Magnolia
Flowers:- Prima

You can get all the details you need over on the Tilda & Friends blog which is here

http://tildaandfriends.blogspot.com/

I'm always in awe of what the DT have come up with, we are all given the same theme but the ATCs always turn out so different. And the DT create some stunning ATCs too, with lots of inspiration for you.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

For this week's challenge on the Papertake Challenge blog Katharina has done a sketch.

Here's my entry. I've used all Basic Grey Periphery papers for this one. I thought they were quite masculine. The wall was coloured in with prismas and zest it but then I sponged over it with vintage photo distress ink. I cut around the happy birthday and sponged that also with weathered wood distress ink on the words and then sponged around the edges with the vintage photo ink. I also sponged the edges of the card with the same ink. Edwin was coloured in with prismas and zest it also. I have to thank a lovely lady called Christine who sent me these new Magnolia images, thank you.

Papers:- Basic Grey - Periphery
Stamps:- Magnolia
Inks:- Tim Holtz distress inks

And this week a random winner will receive a gorgeous Bella stamp, so worth having a go I think. You can find all the details here

Tilda & Co Challenge

This week's challenge on the Tilda & Co blog is # 16

Girly but blue!

You don't see many girl cards/projects in blue very often, They are normally
pink! Well i would love you to make your projects this week in BLUE! Has to be
suitable for a female. This is a pretty broad challenge this week, It could be a
simple card, A altered art project etc

This week I have created a door hanger for my youngest daughter, Robbyn. I used a cricut cartridge for the base of the door hanger and covered it with HOTP papers. The name was also made with a cricut cartridge. All the stamps are from Magnolia and have been coloured in with prismas and zest it. I paper pieced Tilda's clothes with the same HOTP paper. The top looked a little bare so I added a charm which says " little angel" (yeah right) threaded through with some ribbon and a brad.

Papers:- HOTP
Stamps:- Magnolia
Base:- Cricut cartridge, Tags, bags & boxes
Name:- Cricut cartridge, Plantin Schoolbook
