Tilda & Co Challenge # 23

The challenge for this week is

Swirls

Right this week is swirls, You can do what you like aslong as it has swirls
involved somehow.

I'm not too happy with this card, I don't know why, just one of those ones were you look at it and think it's not right in some way. But on the plus side it has plenty of swirls!! So for this one I covered the card with lilac cardstock but left a couple of centimetres on all four sides to show the white of the card, which I then sponged with a lilac ink pad. I cut the frame out with some BG card and my Cricut. I then adhered it to the card with 3D pads. The swirls were also cut from BG and the Cricut and also adhered with 3D pads. I also added some eyelets to the swirls. Tilda was coloured in with prismas and zest it, as was the butterfly. I added a little bit of stickles on to Tilda's crown and wings. To finish it all off I added some little gems and some blooms.

Papers: Basic Grey
Stamps: Magnolia
Cricut:- cartridge - Stretch your imagination
Swirls:- Quickutz Flourish

If you would like to take part in this week's challenge over on the Tilda & Co Challenge blog you can find all the details here

Friday Sketchers Challenge

I just found this challenge so I'm a bit late with it. Nice easy sketch to start me off.

Here's the sketch for this week for the Friday Sketchers blog challenge.

I decided to turn my card 90 degrees because the image is quite small. I've used a ladybug and friends image very kindly sent to me by Frances. Thanks Frances!! x I think this is my favourite or it could be the frog one. :0) I've coloured the image in with prismas and zest it. I've accentuated the swirls on the sheep with a silver gel pen although you don't get the effect from the photo in real life it looks embossed. I've also used some diamond glaze on their cheeks and the heart. The papers are from the American Crafts - spring summer range. I layered them up with cardstock, which all came with my Sarah's cardmaking monthly kit. The "adorable" sentiment is a Stampin Up one and I cut out the backing cardstock with a stampin up punch. The little gold and crystal dots are peel offs.

Stamps:- Ladybug and Friends by Rachelle Anne Miller
Papers:- American Crafts
Sentiment:- Stampin Up

I won't say who but this card will be winging it's way to someone as a thank you.

PS I've just managed to get a better photo of the card showing you the silver gel pen effect to the sheep's wool.

you a helping hand to get your cards started early this year and
we have a
fabulous CD of Christmas designs which Wendy of OOh La La

donated as a prize to be given to one randomly

For this Xmas card I used papers from a Hot of the Press Xmas pad
and backed them with Stampin Up cardstock. For the small panel on the right I
used a Magnolia snowflake stamp and stamped them on with SU heat and stick
powder and stampin' glitter. The oval behind Tilda was made with my cricut and I
embossed it with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The winter bench and the Tilda
were both coloured in with prismas and zest it. Tilda's fur also has
diamond stickles on it. And to finish the card off I added some lilac with gold
edging ribbon and some diamond gems.

Embossing Folder:- Swiss Dots

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's theme is

Give Me Sunshine

mmm need some of that here as it is absolutely tipping it down today!!

It seems that most of the UK has seen the sun at least once recently and the
temperatures are finally starting to slowly climb so this week we want you to
give us some sunshine! Be inspired by the summer and sunshine, be it in your
images or colours, and please create an ATC for us - but don't forget to HAVE
FUN!
Here is my bit of sunshine. I've used Memories Complete paper for the background. I thought this Magnolia stamp would go well with the theme as she has some lovely summery flowers in her hair and I coloured her in with sunshiney colours too. I also added some tiny peel offs to the centres of the flowers. Diamond glaze was added to her pockets and shoes. The "sunshine" is on vellum and I cut around that and used brads each end to fix it on the ATC. To give the ATC a bit of texture I wrapped some very thin ribbon again in sunshiney colours around the bottom.

Stamps:- Magnolia
Paper:- Memories Complete
Vellum sentiment:- Scrapping Sally

If you're in need of a bit of sunshine why not pop over to the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge blog and have a look at the DT's work. Maybe they will give you some inspiration to make your own sunshine ATC. Then all you have to do is leave a comment under this week's post with a link to your ATC.

Hope you all get to enjoy some sunshine soon!

kindly donated by Debbie up for grabs this week, To be in with a chance to win
it, just leave us a comment with a link to your work, and we will randomly pick

For my card I've used the new Sweet Ebony range of stamps by Elisabeth Bell. They arrived just in time to make this card. The set is adorable. I coloured her in using prismas and zest and also added some diamond stickles to her flowers. The background papers are from Heidi Grace ( they have a lovely velvety texture to them) and I cut out different sized squares and a triangle and then layered them with cardstock. I folded back one of the squares and added a brad, some ribbon and two flower charms. The charms looked too silver so I coloured them with a pink marvy le plume pen. The "so sweet" sentiment is from Funky Kits which I received free as I bought the Sweet Ebony kit. I just layered that onto a bloom.

Papers:- Heidi Grace
Stamps:- Sweet Ebony
CS:- Stampin Up
