This week's challenge on the Inky Impressions challenge blog is

Paper Piecing

Here is my card

I have used of course a cute Inky Impression stamp called Angelica's Bunny Hugs available from the Inky Impressions shop. She has been coloured with promarkers and layered onto the same papers and a peach bazill cs. The papers are My Mind's Eye and they have also been layered onto the peach bazill cs. The blooms, ribbon and charm are from my stash.

If you would like to join in with the challenge but don't have any II stamps then Nicole has put a digi stamp up on the site for you to use, you can find it here.

The DT girls have made some gorgeous cards for the challenge. If you pop on over to the Inky Impressions challenge blog you can get all the details and take a look at the DT's cards too.

New stamps from Alota

Hello
Today I'd love to show a card I made with some of the new Alota stamps. Helene has so many new stamps up on the Alota website now and most are my favourite ones , the bugs!!

Here is my Halloween card, I know you're thinking yeah but Halloween is ages away yet but just think how much the kid's summer holiday has flown by!!!! Before you know it , it will be Xmas!

So enough waffle here is my card.
I have used Pumpkin Treat House as my main image and Masked Bug for the little embellie at the top left. They have both been coloured with promarkers and a little bit of clear star pen for added sparkle. The bug has been adhered with a 3D pad. The papers are from SU and are called Pumpkin something, sorry I forgot. They have been layered onto purple bazill bling cs. All the embellies are from my stash.
Watch out for another card soon using another new Alota image , this time a Christmas one.

Time Out

Hello

I am just doing this post to tell you that I will be taking some time out . Last week wasn't part of the plan but I had a flare up because of my Rhuematoid Arthritis.
I have decided to take time out from the challenge blog DTs that I am on. I will still be scheduling posts for the company DTs that I am. Ie: Inky Impressions and Alota. Nikki, Debbie and Caz have kindly said I can come back in late September , early October. Thanks guys x
The reason being is that I am going to be so busy. We have just been informed of our moving date (at last!)which is in two weeks time! We actually get the keys and move into the new house on the 2nd September , the kid's first day back at their new school, nightmare! My mum is then coming over to visit on the 8th September and then we have to get our eldest daughter to the UK to settle her into her new University. As well as sorting out travelling arrangements for our eldest son to get to his school and board during the week.
So I decided the best thing to do was take a time out.

Hope you all have a good rest of the summer holidays and everything goes well with your children going back to school. I will see you again late September , early October. But don't forget to look out for my DT cards which will be scheduled.
xxxx

Inky Impressions Quality Stamps

I just wanted to do a post to let you know about the good quality of Inky Impression stamps. I have posted about them on my blog and shown you cards but of course being online you don't get to see what kind of quality a stamp is. Well Inky Impressions are of a brilliant quality,EZ mounted, really deeply etched and made of red rubber.

I've taken a few pics for you so you can see.

This is how they come to you.

The stamp is on EZ mount, which gives you a clear impression every time.

The stamp is on a laminated card so it sticks to it and gives you an easy way to store it.

On the reverse side of the card you will find a full coloured image of your chosen stamp. Great idea when you get stuck for colouring choices.

All this then comes to you in a little zip plastic bag with a hole in the top for hanging.

You can find the Inky Impression stamps here.

Yay!!!

Fantastic news for me today I made it on the 2nd Inky Impressions DT.Congratulations to all the other girls who were chosen. I am so glad I made it as these stamps are just too cute. Nicole is such a great "boss" and all the DT are so friendly and fun to work with. You can see the results here.

Okay so today is Wednesday and that means Inky Impressions Challenge day. This week it was a colour challenge.

Certainly celery, baja breeze, chocolate chip and pixie pink....... but you can use colours closest to these if you don't have them.

So here is my card

The image is of course the adorable Inky Impressions LiLi and is called LiLi's birthday cake. She has been coloured with promarkers. I have used all SU papers and ribbons and flowers from my stash.

The Inspirational Inkettes have made some gorgeous challenge cards and you can see them here on the Inky Impressions challenge blog.
Why not join in with us, we'd all love to see your cards?

Inky Impressions 2nd Design Team Call

I have enjoyed being on the 1st Inky Impressions Design Team so much that I have decided to have a go at the 2nd DT too. Nicole (the owner) and the DT are all such a great bunch of girls that I'd love to work with them again. So here are my two projects to apply for the team.

My first is a card that I made with one of my new stamps. This stamp is called Angelica's Bunny Hugs.

I have coloured her with promarkers and a little bit of clear star pen. I then layered her onto some blue bazill cs. The papers are from DCWV pad and it is called Summer stack. I have stitched around the papers with pink thread in a zigzag stitch. The blooms, pearls, ribbon and charm are all from my stash.

My second project is one I made a while back but I was really pleased how it turned out as acetate is quite tricky to use sometimes.

It's a little treat box. You can see what is in the box as the middle is acetate. I used LiLi's chicks for this one. Again she has been coloured with promarkers and I have cut her out leaving a little border. All the papers and card are from Stampin Up.

So there are my two projects. Good luck to all who have entered. x

Cute Card Thursday

A nice Summery theme for the A Cute Card Thursday challenge this week and it is

Let's Get Fruity

Here is my card

I have used an image by our prize sponsor today,Digital Delights. The image is called "Birthday Ridley". I've coloured it in with promarkers and a little sakura glaze and clear star pens. The papers are all from a DCWV Summer pad. I cut out the fruit embellies from one of the papers and added a brad to the middles. The papers have been layered onto an orange bazill cs.

So one lucky winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to spend at the Digital Delights online shop.

I then layered the circle onto a scalloped circle made with blue bazill and my cricut. The papers are from a pad by Papermania. I have stitched around the papers with a pink thread and a zigzag stitch. Inky Impressions DT 2

Just wanted to give you an update on the Inky Impressions DT call 2. All the details are on the Inky Impressions Challenge blog here.

But there has now been a change on how to enter. Due to time constrictions you now don't have to send in a card using the colour challenge.

Here is what Nicole says....

(Due to time restraints we are no longer requiring you to follow the color challenge previously given (Chocolate Chip, Purely Pomegranate, Kiwi Kiss and Blue Bayou). For those of you who have already posted your entries using the color challenge, we truly appreciate your added effort.)

To enter the Inky Impressions DT call…..create a post on your blog with the title Inky Impressions 2nd Design Team Call and include one of your favorite cards and one of your favorite projects, using images that require coloring. Your coloring ability is very important.

As I said all the important stuff is on the challenge blog.

Good luck!!!

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge
