No card yet but ....

No cards to show yet but I am very pleased with myself. Last Monday I started the Weight Watchers diet. There are no clubs here and I can't afford the online one so I am doing it by myself. Well I was very surprised this morning to see that after just one week I'd lost 4 lbs!!! I know it will be a slow struggle from now on but it's a good start. I want to be my ideal weight by July when we go back to live in the UK.
If anyone has any tips or recipes I'd be grateful for them . TIA.

Well done Shary.. I have just started pointing too. I done it with WW about 8 years ago and lost 4 and a half stone. My weight has slowly crept up again so I now have a couple to lose... I want to lose mine again by October when we go to Florida as i'm determined i'm not buying new clothes and will be back in my size 10's. Keep up the good work and keep me posted with how you get on.. I have a friend who emails me every Monday with her loss so if you want to join in.. let me know as it might keep you motivated. Big Hugs, Nikki x

Congratulations Shary! I went on WW about two years ago and lost 32 pounds in just 3 months. I even lost when we went on our cruise to Mexico. However, shortly after we returned from our cruise I was diagnosed with cancer. Because of all the meds and high doses of steroids I have gained every single ounce back. It's really depressing! Oh well...I figure once I'm done with treatments I will get right back at it again. I loved it...and really loved being able to eat what I wanted when I wanted! I found it easy for me to save all my "extra" points for Saturdays and just stuck to my daily points every other day. I also made sure I bought tons of WW snacks and WW ice cream so that I could get that sweet fix when I needed it. LOL

Hope to talk with you soon!

Hugs,
Priscilla

well done Shary! my MIL is always on the WW diet - I've done it twice in the past but years ago so the system has changed quite a bit since then. I do try and really need to shift a lot of weight but being virtually housebound it is very hard! I'd be happy to join you - maybe we should start a blog just for us dieters to help each other out. I do have lots of WW recipe books and some are delicious - the recipes that is! we are having pheasant strogonoff tomorrow, very healthy made with yoghurt instead of cream.
