Lilli Image

Another card made with the pink petticoat images. Nice and bright this time using papers from DCWV. Best wishes was made with a cuttlebug embossing folder.

HOTP papers

I made this card today. The image is from pink petticoat and the flowers are from Prima. All the rest is from a HOTP kit.
I used my new prismas to colour in the image. They do make a difference, much smoother and easier to blend with the mineral spirits.

Oooooo

Look what came today, my 120 prismas! Just got to find a bit of time to use them now.

Magnolia cards

As I made all these cards before I made this blog I didn't write down papers etc that I used on them but I will next time. I coloured the images in with coloursoft pencils and odourless spirit using blending stumps. Lol hubby was so sick of me saying "I wish I had prismacolor pencils, like the US sites" that he won me some on ebay and I am waiting for them to arrive. The coloursoft pencils are good but I am limited with the colours as I only have a set of 12 whereas the prismacolors I am getting have a whopping 120, shouldn't be stuck for a colour now!

The last two for now..

These followed shortly after.....

The First......

Magnolia stamps have a lot to answer to... here is my first attempt with Magnolia stamps.

A more recent page

And here is one of my recent pages. The first one I have done for about about 9 months now. I decieded to subscribe to a monthly kit to see if it would inspire me again. The good thing about scrapbooking kits is that you always have plenty left over to make some cards!
Mmm I find it hard to show my pages. I have to use a camera as my scanner isn't big enough. I never seem to get a good photo though. Think I'll have to work on that.

Scrapbook pages

Here are some of my earlier attempts at scrapbooking from 2006. All the papers and embellishments are from the HOTP kits.

Some Older Cards using HOTP papers.

Because I have just started this blog here are some older cards I have made. These are from last Christmas and they are made using the HOTP Xmas papers

Stampin Up Card

These stamped images are from the US company , Stamping Up. The set is called "Bubble Queen" but was retired in 2007.

Why "The Other Side Of Me"?

I've decided to call this blog "The Other Side Of Me" because my other blog Shary's Stamping Sanctum http://sharyssanctum.blogspot.com/ is more an arty farty blog with my ATCs and Altered Art projects.
This blog will be mainly for my cardmaking and scrapbooking, although I may sometimes add a bit of family life to it. :-).
I hope you enjoy looking at my creations.
