One of those days....

Sundays... I think this is my worst day of the week, especially when hubby is away. They always seem to drag. A usual Sunday is ironing , making sunday dinner, bathing the kids and getting stuff ready for school next morning. I was hoping for some more post yesterday so I could have a little play today, but nothing. Lol I've ordered 3 more Magnolias, well who could do without a Father Christmas one?? I've also got 3 stamps coming from Eat Cake Graphics, mmm a cricut cartridge, some Whipper Snapper images and some other stuff , I've forgotten what now lol. I'll be getting a surprise then when they come!!
Hope you are all having a good day.

A bit of fun

Bind It All Notebook

This is a little note book I made today to keep track of all my Magnolia stamps. I still don't know all the proper names for them so I'm going to look them up and add them to the note book.Instead of colouring all the image in I dressed her instead with the Mellow paper, I cut out her plait so it sat over her dress. The leaves I stamped out the images onto some material leaves that I had then cut them out. The rest of the image was coloured in with Prisma pencils and mineral spirits.
From now on I intend to be organised even on here. So this is the new look of things I've used....

Stamps:- Magnolia, Tilda in the wind (?)
Papers:- Basic Grey, Mellow
Die Cuts:- Ellison thin cuts corners
Book:- Bind it all machine and chipboard covers

Happiness

Mmm happiness is.. having a coffee with a friend in a shopping centre. Something I don't do anymore, I miss the UK's shopping centres . Anyway .. I still don't have any Bella stamps (but I will have one soon :-) ) so I used an image I received from a SCS lady. Usual way of colouring in. The "happiness" stamp is from Warm words, a Stampin Up set. The papers are from Urban Lily. Lol I have loads of these papers but I've never cut them up before now. And then just Prima flowers. The bookplate and side tab were cut with my cricut.

Popcorn Box

Thought I'd put my cricut to use this morning. I needed somewhere to keep my stumps tidy so I made this. Box was made with tags and boxes cartridge, bazill card. I then stamped over it with Rhonna Farrer nature stamp and used TH denim distress ink. I sponged it round the edges with the distress ink. Coloured in the Magnolia images and put them on the box with 3D foam pads.

An Acetate Card

I just knew I'd have trouble with this card. It was quite tricky to scan with it being acetate, anyway you get the idea! I stamped the snowflakes onto the acetate with white brilliance ink and then used stickles to accentuate the dots. I masked the Magnolia images to make it look like Edwin was deep in snow, coloured them in and added more stickles to the snow and his wings and hat. I cut the image out and stuck it on the snowflake paper with 3D buds. And then added the snowflake brad. Oh and a little bit of silver thread for the sledge's handle.

Click it comments

You may or may not have noticed I have a new thingy on my blog called "click comments". Please take a moment to click one , then I can tell if you like my work or not. :-) By the way you may not see it straight away as it takes a moment to upload.

Thanks

Parisabella

A round card today with the Parisabella stamp. Not my stamp I was kindly given some images from a lady off SCS. The papers are actually some Xmas papers that I had left over from last year. They are from Paper Adventures. Queen for a day was done with a cuttlebug embossing folder and then denim distress ink sponged over. The flourishes are a Quickutz die set. Added a bit of bling too with some flat backed gems.

Rainy Day Tilda

Here's a rainy day Tilda, mind you nothing like it is here, we have some gorgeous weather at the moment. I've coloured her in the usual way , prismacolor pencils and spirits. I don't think you can see in the pic but I've added some stickles to the raindrops and the splosh on her hand. All the papers are from an old HOTP kit, so too are the brads. The flowers are primas and the "best wishes" was made with a cuttlebug folder.

The butterflies are also from Magnolia. I used my GoGo Create September kit for the papers. The enjoy stamp is again from Stampin Up.The stem flower is from Nature by Rhonna Farrer stamps.

Autumn Day

I have just made this , not sure what it will eventually be but I'm not happy with it. It took me a while to make it as I had to some masking so I don't want to spoil it. I'm not happy with the white areas. I'm a bit hesitant about colouring it in case I spoil it. Any ideas?

Book mark

I've just started re-reading the Harry Potter books and after loosing my page numerous times I decided to make a bookmark!! So here it is.. a Tilda bookmark. I just cut out a long strip for the base from Bazill cardstock and decorated it with papers from the LilyKate Basic Grey collection. Used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the little rabbit at the bottom and my Cricut for the shapes and text. Oh and of course my Magnolia stamps for the girl and books.

Mummy I can't move!!!!

I had to laugh today at my daughter, Robbyn. We've had Jinx now for just over a year and Robbyn has only just started to get brave enough to stroke her. Not that she is a bad or grouchy cat, she's so soft and loving. Anyway usually Jinx will settle down on mine or my husband's lap but this afternoon she decided to sit on Robbyn. To start with Robbyn was like "oo mummy look Jinx loves me now"! After 5 minutes she told me her legs were "tingling". I asked her "why don't you move"? She replied "Mummy I can't move because Jinx won't love me anymore". I quickly took this photo, she'd sat frozen for over 5 minutes!!

50th Card

I was asked to make a 50th birthday card today, to be ready by tomorrow morning! I used HOTP papers for this one and the 50 was made with my cricut. Hope she likes it!!

Mini Book

Here is a mini book I made this morning using my new Magnolia stamps, papers and bind it all. I've gone for a change this time and coloured in the images with watercolours. I'm going to use it to put in pics of the kids during Autumn. The colours are much brighter IRL.

Plus..

I also bought some gorgeous paper pads, cuttlebug embossing folders, a flourish die, swirls and dot doodle template, bind it all chipboard book covers, technique tuesday stamps, waterbrush and blank cards. Think that will keep me going for a while eh?

How many?

36 altogether. 31 for me, 2 for a friend and 3 duplicates. Think I panic bought a bit!!

Bind It All

I got a fantastic bargain yesterday. One of the German scrapbooking stalls was doing a special offer on a Bind it all with lots of different sizes of wires in a bag. I paid 59 euros for it, which works out at about £39.34. When I got home I looked online and found that to get all that it would have cost me 105 euros, which is £70.50, so I saved over £30!!
Just got to work it all out now!!:-)Watch this space!

This is an overview of the Mekka, taken from a balcony.

Magnolia stand

These are pics of the Magnolia stand. It was the busiest stand, you can't even see the stamps!

My First Bella

A very nice lady on SCS sent me some Bellas as a RAK and here is my first Bella card. She is coloured in with my prisma pencils and mineral spirits. I used my Cricut for the shaped pieces and a cuttlebug folder for the embossing. The papers are just bits that I had in my left over box.

ATC Holder

It was my turn to show what I had made with my HOTP DT kit on Tuesday and this is what I made. An ATC holder. To hold the ATCs in I used some photo corners.

Pirate Card

Another blast from the past, I also found this in my files. The images are stamps from Stampin Up, a set called Ahoy Matey. Must start using my SU sets more.

Simply stamping entries

I came across these two in my files today and thought I would show them. I sent them in for the Simply Stamping's Stamper of the Year competition. I didn't win but I got an honourable mention. Shame that mag went out of production.

Tilda Door Hanger

I made this a while ago and forgot to blog it!! The undressed hanger was in the August GoGo kit and the papers are from Urban Lily. I have so much of that paper but I've never used it, I just like to look at it but I was brave. :-) and cut it up. The Tildas are coloured in with prisma color pencils and odorless spirit.
Don't forget you can see my Magnolia cards in a slide show at the bottom of the page. :-)

HOTP personal shopper October Kit

Our first DT kit arrived a few days ago. Such a big kit! It's like 3 kits in 1. It has themes of Halloween, Fall and Friends. I went straight for the Halloween kit to make my first projects. And here they are. I made a door hanger and a card. I still have lots of Halloween papers left though. I'll be showing my projects week by week on here as they can't be shown until I show them on the
