Milly

I haven't had time to make a card, I'm still trying to blitz the house ready for the move!! So I thought I'd show you a pic of my gorgeous baby (not such a baby anymore) girl Milly. She will be 1 year old on March 18th. She is growling at the moment, some men are trimming the trees outside with a big lorry thing and it's making a funny noise. She's almost sitting on my feet trying to protect me. It's funny to hear her growl as she hardly ever does or bark for that matter. She's a soft sloppy dog.
Some of you asked for an update on Milly. We have sent off her X-rays to a specialist for a second opinion. I will post when I know more, thanks for asking. xx

New Blog Background

Decided to have a change and came across this background featuring one of the Gorjuss girls. I received my stamps today but not had time to play yet, but hopefully later on I will. They are gorgeous though. Thank you to Debscraft for the background.
She has several other designs too and they are just as gorgeous.

Unbelievable!!!!!

We are getting ready to move so I thought I'd do the rooms one by one. I have just done the two youngest bedroom. OMG how can two kids collect soooo much rubbish?????? 8 bin bags, numerous broken toys too big to go in a bag!!!! I had most of their toys in roller drawers, I now have 5 of them empty and two big wooden toy boxes. I'm gob smacked that I let them have that much rubbish!!!! Hang my head in shame!! Wonder what my craft room will be like?? ;0)

Cute Card Thursday

The theme this week is

Animal Magic

Here's my card

I have used all SU papers and embellies for this one from the Confetti simply scrappin kit. The frame was cut out with my Cricut using the Accent Essentials cartridge. The image is a House Mouse stamp and is called "Dreaming of jellybeans". I coloured it with promarkers and then put a glaze over the jellybeans using glossy accents.

This is Silvia's last week as GD, thank you Silvia. The DT have made some great animal magic cards, all lovely but different. If you would like to join in with the challenge you can find all the details here. There is also a prize for one lucky winner this week of a Riley stamp donated by Craftaway.

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

This week's challenge on the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog is Mothers Day.
Here is my card

This time I made a gatefold card. I've used a new stamp called Beary Full of Truffles. Love him!! He has been coloured with promarkers. I stamped him onto cream card in keeping with the background. I then layered him onto some of the brown paper. All the papers are from a K&Co pad. I made the sentiment with the pc, printing it onto cream card again and then layering onto the brown. I then added the embellies, the blooms I received free with my order from Simon says Stamp, they are really pretty. A few amber gems too. I added the little catch and brad which swings across the image ,to keep the card closed.

I'm always open mouthed at the DT work on House Mouse Monday, it's gorgeous. You can see all the cards here.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

A bit of a toughie this week for me, I am so used to doing square cards now. I really must get out of the habit. Anyway the theme for the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge is

Shape Shifters

Here is my card

I made a Spring card, really easy to make just a bit of scoring and folding involved. I decorated the sides that would show with some pretty flowery spring like papers. I then added the brown and pink bows. The image is from Alota adn I coloured him in with promarkers. The sentiment is also from Alota.

If you would like to join in with this week's challenge you can find all the details here We also have two guest designers this week and they are Caryn and Karen.

Sketch Saturday

There is a great sketch on the Sketch Saturday challenge blog this week. Here it is

And here is my card (you can click on it to get a better view)

I had a bit of a problem fitting all the elements on as the stamp is so big but I think I pulled it off!!! I've used a great kit from In Style Stamps called an Inspiration Kit. The papers are from Bo Bunny and are from the Sweetie Pie collection. The card is in the kit and is by DCWV. The ribbons and embellies are from the same kit. It really is a great kit.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up and he set is called Riveting.I stamped the sentiment onto a circle and then layered it onto a scalloped circle cut with my Cricut. Now the stamp is one of my brand new ones and is called Bunny Hop. I have coloured it in with promarkers.Just to warn you, you'll be seeing a few House mouse stamps on my blog now.
There are some lovely cards on the Sketch Saturday blog and some have new images that I have not seen before, so it's worth going over and having a look. You can find it here.

Ismaki challenge

Here's a card I made a few days ago for the Ismaki Challenge.
Here's Manue's sketch

And here is my take on the sketch

I've used all Cosmo Cricket products for the papers, sentiments and embellies. The image is a House Mouse stamp called Lip Smackin Relaxin. I've used promarkers and also gone over the marshmallows with glossy accents. I then sponge inked the edges.

You can find the Ismaki challenge here.

AWOL

Sorry I haven't been around lately but I have been looking after Milly. Yesterday she slipped on the kitchen floor and we thought nothing of it as she didn't yelp or anything. Later on that evening she seemed to be limping so we took her to the vets just as a precaution. We were not prepared for the news he gave us. He gave her an xray (which we since have found out that he shouldn't have given a dog so young) and told us that Milly has hip displacia. He has said she would need a hip replacement which will cost us £1,000. It will be very stressful for such a young dog as it is a major op and her recupering period would be for about a year.Luckily for us we know a friend of a friend who is studying to be a vet and she has asked a top dog surgeon about it and he has advised against the op, but is willing to see Milly to see what can be done. Rob has just taken her back to the original vet as we had already made the appointment, he is supposed to be telling us what his superiors say about the op, but he seemed adamant about giving her the op.
Sorry to bore you but I haven't felt up to crafting much as we sat up with her all night and I am exhausted. Those of you with dogs I'm sure will understand . :0)

Cute Card Thursday

The theme for Cute Card Thursday this week is

Signs of Spring

Here is my card

I've used some GSD studio paper for this one. The image is a Happy Hopper image from the House Mouse stamp range and is called "Buzzy Friends". I added a large bloom folded in half and some ric rac along the bottom. I then just added some tiny gems.

Here is a close up of the image. I have coloured the image in with promarkers. I then added some glossy accents to their bodies and antennae. For their wings I added a little clear star sakura pen to highlight the veins of the wings.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's theme on the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge is

Shady Lady

The theme this week is to use shades of one main colour, in addition to hair and skin tones or natural backgrounds, after all brown skies and pink grass might look a bit strange! What we want to see is shades of one main colour used for the clothing, embellishments or any patterned papers you plan on using.

Here is my ATC

I've used an older Tilda image and paper pieced her with some left over Forever Friends paper. Her skin and hair were coloured with promarkers. I used a piece of blue bazill card for the background and went over it with a SU wheel called "Forever Flowers" in a darker blue ink. I then tore some more of the FF paper and put a strip down the side and added some gel stickers. I then added a piece of hobbycraft ribbon to the bottom.

If you would like to join in with this week's ATC challenge you will find all the details here.

House Mouse Monday Challenge

Here is my take on the sketch

The main image is a stamp called Mouse Wash and I've coloured it with promarkers and added some glossy accents to the bubbles and a little bit of sakura pen to the cup. I mounted the image onto a cricut scalloped circle and then sponge inked the edges. The paper is by Around the Block and I have layered it onto pink Bazill cs. The ribbon is from HobbyCraft.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

This week we have a sketch from Debbie at the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge blog. Here it is

And here is my card.

I have used some free papers from a card magazine.I then inked around the edges. I have used 4 stamps from Alota stamps. The first one is the heart and vine circle frame from the circle frame unmounted set. I stamped this onto a nestabilitie circle and coloured it in with promarkers. For the main image I used two stamps from the wagon and wheelbarrow unmounted set. I stamped out the wheelbarrow and then positioned the heart stamp to sit on top of it. I then cut the whole image out and coloured it in with promarkers. I also stamped out a second wheelbarrow so that I could use the wheel as a seperate embellishment. The hearts and central flowers from the wheel all have had a layer of glossy accents put onto them. I then used 3D pads to adhere the wheelbarrow image onto the circle with the frame. The sentiment was also stamped onto a smaller nestabilitie circle. Both circles were layered onto a scalloped circle which were cut out with my cricut. The two pink hearts are die cuts and I have sponge inked them.

As always there are some beautiful cards made by the DT over on the blog for you to see. All the details are here

All the papers are from Stampin Up and are called Spiced Cider. Just the right colours for a masculine card. The frame has been cut with my Cricut and layered onto 3D pads. The image is from Magnolia and has been coloured with promarkers and then I've used 3D pads again to make him stand out a little. Both the notes and the sentiment are stamps from Stamp Away.

House Mouse Monday Challenge

Interesting one this week for the House Mouse Monday Challenge it's Tall and Thin. I very rarely make a DL card but I had a go for this one.

Please click on pic for a better view.
I thought this Gruffie stamp would be perfect. It's called Tower of presents. I paper pieced the presents and added some details with sakura pens. Gruffie has been coloured with promarkers. All the papers are from a pad by GSD studio. The top and bottom strips have been punched out with a Martha Stewart punch. For the sentiment I used a Hero Arts clear stamp which I stamped onto the word window punch tag from SU. I then layered it onto two of the tags put together.

As always the DT cards are gorgeous you really should take a look at them here

A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge

Another Tuesday and it's time again for the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge. This week it is

Doodle Doo

We would love to see some doodling on your cards. This could be hand drawn
or if you have scrolls and swirl stamps you can also use these.

Here is my card

Now I'm sorry but I don't have a clue who the papers are by, I received these papers ages ago as a prize. If anyone knows could they let me know please as I used the last of them and I'd like some more, they are gorgeous! The image is by Whippersnapper and I have firstly coloured him in with promarkers and then goen over his shell with glossy accents. The sentiment is made from a ATB tape writer. My doodling is on the back ground papers in green. For the doodling I used a template as my freehand is not so good. I went over the doodling with a sakura star pen too, to try and make it stand out a bit better. Just finnished it all off with a ribbon tied into a bow.
Sorry it's not a great pic but I had to take the pic a minute ago and the light is not good, it's raining here and dull.

The other DT members have made some great doodling cards , why not go over and have a peek? You can find all the details here

In Style Sneek Peek & Friday Sketchers

I have another sneek peek for you from In Style Stamps. This time it is a new stamp from the Retro range and her name is Lindsay. She will be available to buy on Friday 13th along with two new friends, Sasha and Steph. There will be more sneek peeks on the In Style blog.

I've combined the sneek peek with the challenge from Friday Sketchers. Claudia created the sketch this week and here it is

And here is my card (please click on it if you would like a closer look).

I put Lindsay onto a nestabilitie circle and coloured her in with promarkers and inked the edges of the circle. I then cut out the scalloped circle on my Cricut so I could add a layer to the image. The papers are from a K & Co pad and have been layered onto cream card to match the card blank. I used the PC to make the sentiment. The swirls are made from a Quickutz Flourish die. I thought I'd put the date stamp on the card to make out that she had an appointment to keep at the hairdressers. I added a gem to the date. Sorry I can't remember who the date stamp is by, I've had it sitting at the bottom of my desk for ages.

You can find the Friday Sketchers challenge here http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/
