And Another!

Sorry I think I've started an addiction here. I know they are not brilliant but I will get better!(hopefully). This photo was taken last week at Herman's Denkmal in Detmold, Germany.

This kit was a freebie and is made by Manue Designs. If you would like to see her designs the blog is here.

Digiscrapping

I've been having a look on the net at all the digikits and there are some gorgeous ones out there. So I got to looking at the galleries too, wow!! some very talented people out there. I thought I'd have a go, it's a very basic page as Photoshop stumps me, a bit too technical. But here it is ....

I've used a kit by Zoe Pearn called "Happiness" and it's available at Sweet Shoppe Designs.

I've just had a thought about what else I'd like to do to it, so I'll try to do it and post a pic later.

How's this?

Inky Impressions

I received some great news today. I got through to be on the Inky Impressions Design Team. Yay, I'm really pleased as Nicole has some of the cutest images. I have a couple of cards on my blog with these images a few posts down. Put a smile on my face today as Rob is away again until the end of May, so it was a lovely surprise.

Candy!!!

Debbie from Passion For Crafts has some gorgeous candy up for grabs. It is to celebrate her blogoversary of one year. Her work is absolutely gorgeous and I am a big fan of it. She is giving away......

Good Luck!

Cute Card Thursday

Great theme this week on the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog, it is

Mirror, Mirror

Use something shiny on your card.

Here is my shiny card.

I've used Messy Rabbit stamp sets for this one. I stamped the house onto a piece of white card and coloured it in with my promarkers and then sponge inked the grass and sky. For the small toadstools and the Messy Rabbit I did the same but then cut them out.I used glossy accents on the top of all the toadstools to give the "shiny" effect. All the papers are from a retro pad from HOTP. The flower is made from the same paper using a HOTP swirly flower template. The sentiment is from a Stampin Up set called Warm Words and has been put on punch outs from the word window punch.

We have two guest designers this week, Marcea and Sam. We also have a fab prize for one lucky winner. A Stampin Up set called Botanical Blooms. Jenny from Made on the Farm has kindly donated it and she has also made a card to show you, using the set.

If you would like to see the other DT's work, the GD's and Jenny's just pop over to the blog. Can you find it all here.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

The theme for this week on the Tilda & Friends ATC challenge blog is

That's torn it!
This week we want you to use something torn on your ATC
Here is my ATC
I've used some patterned vellum for the background. I put some on the actual blank ATC and then tore strips to put on the bottom and top left corner. I then used a ink to sponge over the torn strips. The image is from Dustin Pike and was a freebie from his blog. I coloured it with promarkers and then hung the little star from the top of the moon with some metallic thread. The sentiment has been made with a ATB tape writer.

You can find the details for the challenge and the DT's gorgeous ATCs here.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

This week's theme is a colour scheme

Blue & Green

Here is my card

The main image is a combination of Alota and Sugar Nellie stamps. The rocking chair is one of many brand new stamps from Alota. You can find them all on the Alota site here. There are lots of lovely new summer designs along with some baby designs. The rocking chair is perfect for all your "character" stamps. The girl is of course a Gorjuss girl from Funky Kits. They have both been coloured with a mixture of copics and promarkers. The papers are all from the Basic Grey Lily Kate range.I've distressed the edges and then inked them. The flowers are a bit of a blast from the past! I bought a HOTP swirly flower template ages ago and it got lost under the piles of paper, now the piles are going down I found it again! I made them out of the same papers and then distressed and inked them and then added the Stampin up brads to the middles. The sentiment is also from a Stampin Up set.

There is a great range of cards this week using blue and green from the DT and you can see them all on the A Spoon Full of Sugar blog here. We also have a guest designer this week and that is Steph.

Helene from Alota stamps has kindly donated a prize this week for one lucky winner. Two gorgeous Alota bug stamps. I love those bugs!

Digital Stamp Oasis

Well I think I've caught up with everything now and seem to be getting my cards done. I have one to show you today of a brand new digital stamp from Digital Stamp Oasis. I also have some new Alota stamps to show you, I have already used one on a DT card but cannot show you 'till Tuesday. So onto today's card, here it is

I received 8 new images from Ellie of DSO but I had to use this one first as it reminded so much of my younger son and our dog Milly. I've coloured the image with promarkers and cut it out leaving a little border. The papers and embellies come from a Fancy Pants set called Spa Day. The little "friends" sentiment has been made with my ATB tape writer. I adhered the image with 3D pads.

You can see all the new images and more at Ellie's etsy shop here.

Digital Tuesday Challenge

Here is a quick card for the Digital Tuesday Challenge sponsored by Digital Stamp Oasis. There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day for me at the moment!!! Just managed a quick half hour to make this. The theme is
Celebrate Earth Day. So you had to use green and brown and one other colour of your choice. I chose red.

The image is from Digital Stamp Oasis and is called "Sammy Squirrel eats strawberries" and is available from the shop here. He has been coloured with promarkers and copics. I have also added some glaze to the strawberries. The papers are from K&Co. Ribbon, flowers and brads from my stash.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

You'll never guess which image I've used for the Papertake Weekly Challenge can you? Yep that's right a new Gorjuss girl from set 2. As soon as they plopped through the letterbox I had to use one.
Here is Dawn's sketch for the Papertake Weekly Challenge

And here is my card. I've rotated the sketch 90 degrees.

So I've used a Gorjuss Girl from set 2. They are from the Sugar Nellie range at Funky Kits. She has been coloured with promarkers. All the papers are from Basic Grey the Perhaps range. The sentiment is a stamp from Stampin Up called Warm Words and I layered it onto two punched out shapes using a Word Window punch, again by Stampin Up. Ribbon, charms, brads and blooms are all from my stash.

You can find the Papertake Weekly challenge here.

Woo hooooo look what just plopped through my letterbox!!!

I'm usually one of the last to get any stamps but because Funky Kits sent the International orders a bit earlier they got here sooner. Can't wait to play, I'm off up to my room to cut them out and maybe make a card.

Cute Card Thursday

So on the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog this week the theme is..

Getting Edgy

For this weeks challenge we would like you to either tear, sand, distress or sew the edges of your card.

Here is my card

I have used yet another digikit, this one is from lauraskathi. It's a gorgeous kit just right for distressing, like I have done! I've distressed all the edges of the papers and embellies with sandpaper. The image is of course from the Gorjuss Girls set from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits. I have actually done something different with this one. I have watercoloured her with watercolour pencils. I then cut her out and sat her on the circle, which I cut out with my nesties. The sentiment at the bottom of the card says "Believe".

For the next two weeks Marcea is joining us as guest designer. She has made a lovely card as have the other DT members. You can see them all here. Also this week we have a prize for one lucky winner a Card Art book kindly donated by Lisa of C&T Publishing.

Tilda And Friends ATC Challenge

This week's theme is

Red and White

This is for St George's day which is on the 23rd April. Here is my ATC

The dragon image was a free download from Dustin Pike which I have coloured with promarkers and then filled him in with glossy accents. I then sponge inked the background with a blue ink for a sky effect. The paper is from Basic Grey. The "fly" was made with my ATB tape writer and I just added the gems.

You can find details of the challenge and see the other DT members ATCs here.

Inky Impressions DT Call Round 2

Nicole sent me an image and a sketch to follow for the 2nd round of her Inky Impressions DT call. I was lucky enough to get through the 1st round! I have my fingers crossed as I love her images and they are just great to colour.
So here's the sketch

And here are my two cards as Nicole sent two images. I think one was just in case I made a mistake, but the image is so cute that I made two cards!
Please click on the photos for a better view.

This first one is a hybrid card. That is I used a digi kit for the papers and embellies.I coloured the image in with promarkers and copics and sponge inked the background for the grass and sky effect.I added glossy accents to the eggs and paint on the image and also to the middles of the three blooms. The kit is called April Morning and is from Peppermint Creative.

For my second card I have used a Sarah's monthly cardmaking kit. I layered up the papers but for the two strips I have embossed the paper. All of the papers have been sponge inked around the edges with a moss green ink. I coloured the image with promarkers, cut it out and then layered it onto an oval with 3D pads. The photo corners are from an Ellison thin cut die. The ribbon, blooms, spacer and charm are from my stash.

Now all I have to do is keep my fingers crossed and wait.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

This week's theme on the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge is a sketch made by Caryn.
Here is the sketch

And here is my card. Lol it is showing up very bright on here but in real life it isn't.

I have used two Magnolia stamps and coloured them with promarkers and then cut them out leaving a little border. The papers and embellies are from another digi kit called "Blove" by LLIELLA Designs. It's a really great kit, nice and spring looking.

The DT have made some gorgeous cards again , lots of inspiration. If you would like to join in all the details are here.
We have a great prize this week of the below cute Rachelle Anne Miller stamp from Stampavie called 'Hoppy Spring'. This has been kindly donated by Colette and Katie at Nutcrafters.

Alota challenge

The Alota stamps group on Paper Craft Planet are having their 9th challenge and it is embossing. Here is the card I made for the challenge.

The image is a stamp from Alota stamps called "Sayo". I've coloured some of her with promarkers and the other bits I have paper pieced. All the papers are from a Dovecraft Eastern Blooms pad. I cut out some of the flowers from the papers and adhered them with 3D pads at the top of the card. They have been embossed with a cuttlebug folder. Also the bottom strip has been embossed in the same way but I sponged over some pink ink. The flowers along the bottom are from the same range but are chipboard.

You can find the challenge on the Alota group at Paper Craft Planet here.

Cute Card Thursday

A nice simple theme this week on the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog it's

Floral Fantasy

Use any type of flower on your creation.

So here is mine

I've used a digikit again (can you see a pattern here?). It's called Shabby Spice and is created by Ellie Lash. The papers, frame and embellies are all from the kit. For the main image I have used a Gorjuss girl from the Sugar Nellie collection. These are available from Funky Kits. She's been coloured in with promarkers and copics. The sentiment is from a Stampin Up set called Warm Words and I made the aperture with a SU word window punch.

This week our sponsor is Daisy May Designs and for one lucky winner she is offering a choice of 5 downloads from the Cute Daisy May digi stamp designs. So it's well worth joining in! You can see all the DT's creations and details here on the Cute Card Thursday blog.

Wednesday 15 April 2009

House Mouse Monday Challenge

This week's theme on the House Mouse Monday Challenge is Multiple Images.
Here is my card

I've used 3 House mouse images: Mudpie tells, Contented Mudpie, and the other one I can't remember!!! They've been coloured with copics and promarkers and cut out leaving a little border round each which I then coloured with a pale blue. The papers and blooms are from a digi kit called "Hooty Coo" by Miss Tina. The sentiment is also from the same digikit and was a free font.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's theme is actually a recipe.

1 ribbon
2 flowers
3 buttons

Here's mine

I've used a digikit for this one again it's called "Flergs Fairy Floss". I made the background in Photoshop and then cut out some elements from the kit to add some 3D elements. The image is a Leanne Ellis design stamp from Funky Kits and I've coloured her with copics and promarkers. I then added the ribbon, buttons and blooms. To the little blooms I added a little gem to the centres. The "gorjuss" sentiment was just a little cut off that came with my sheet of Gorjuss girl stamps. I knew it would come in handy!!
The DT have made some fab ATCs you can find them here as well as all the details on how to join in with the challenge.

Tuesday 14 April 2009

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

It's time for Challenge #47 on the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge blog. This week the theme is

To Die For

For our Challenge this week we would like to see you create a card or project using Die cuts or Punches.

Here is my card

I've used a Papermania Retro Floral pad for the papers. The bottom strip has been decorated by using two different Martha Stewart punches. The three leaves have been cut out using my Cricut, the bottom one by shadow and the other normally. I also sponged inked them with a brown ink. They have been adhered with 3D pads. The sentiment comes from a clear Hero Arts set. I've stamped it onto white card and sponge inked the edges with a pink ink. I then layered it onto some of the same paper and adhered it with 3D pads. The image is a House Mouse image called Autumn Cruise and I have coloured it with copics and promarkers. I then sponge inked it with a blue ink. The edges have been doodled with a fine black pen.
The DT girls have made some beautiful cards why not go over and have a look?
There is also a prize for one lucky winner this week, 3 sets from the Cutting Cafe.

Friday 10 April 2009

Friday Sketchers

I've done something a little different with this card, what do you think?
Here is the sketch for the Friday Sketchers challenge blog.

And here is my card

I've used a digital scrapkit for this. I used the digi papers and elements to make the background using Photoshop. It is made by Studio Flergs and is called "Flairy Floss". I printed it off when I'd played around with it and then adhered it to a card blank. I then printed off one large, one small butterfly (from the same kit) and adhered them with 3D pads. The blooms in the bottom left were also done this way but I added a brad to the middle of them. I then printed off the tag and carefully cut around the swirly bits and the circle in the middle. I used a Gorjuss girl from Sugar Nellie to go in the middle. She has been stamped and then coloured in with promarkers and copics. I then used 3D pads again to adhere the tag to the card. Lastly I added the sentiment which is from Stampin Up.
It's easier for me to use digi kits at the moment as I am running out of papers and it costs quite a bit of postage for me to get papers sent from UK because of the weight. I'm hopefully (fingers crossed) going to the UK in July so I'll be able to stock up then but for now you may be seeing more cards made with digi papers.

Cute Card Thursday

Great theme this week for the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog. It's

Marshmallows and Chocolate (Pink and Brown)

Here's my card

The images are from Magnolia and they are from the Spring set. I've coloured them in with promarkers and used 3D pads to adhere them. I layered a plain white card with first a brown CS and then a slightly smaller pink CS. I then sponge inked around the edges with a brown distress ink. The papers are by Kelly Paccinni, I have saved this little bits as I really love this range. I then layered the images onto brown and pink CS again. The ribbon and blooms are from my stash. The photo corners have been cut with the same KP paper and I used an Ellison thin cut die.

Fran has donated some great stamps this week for one lucky winner. There are 5 of them and all from High Hopes. We also have a GD for the next two weeks which is Jacilynn. We also have a temporary designer while Annie and Lynn are taking some time out and that is Caz.
You can see their gorgeous cards and those of the other DT members here at the Cute Card Thursday blog.

In Style stamps

Here's a card I made with one of the newer retro stamps from In Style stamps.

I've used Melanie from In Style stamps, isn't she great? I've coloured her with promarkers and copics. All the papers and die cuts are from the Basic Grey Mellow range. To make the tree stand out a bit more I sponge inked it with a brown ink. The tree, bloom and Melanie have been adhered with 3D pads to make them stand out. I put a decorated border made with a Martha Stewart punch in the middle. The sentiment "Happiness" is from a Stampin Up set called Warm Words and the aperture has been punched out with the Stampin Up word window punch.
