Poor Robbyn has been through the mill lately what with being in hospital and then on Christmas Eve we found a little blister on her neck which turned into full blown chicken pox. She is covered and is miserable. Bless her Christmas day of all days!!!

I don't want you all to think I have given up on my blog as I know I will be back to crafting so I thought I would just give you all a quick update.
In November my step father died of cancer, he was diagnosed in February. On the 5th of December my father in law was diagnosed with cancer too and on the 10th of December he suffered a massive stroke. He was moved to a hospice and we were told he has only a few weeks left. On the same day my youngest daughter Robbyn (4 years old) was admitted to hospital with a virus called Henoch-Schonlein Purpura which basically means she had a virus and the anti bodies were trying to fight it but then her body made too many and they started attacking her body. It was quite scary as it can cause renal collapse. She has to have urine and stool checks regurlarly now. She is now home but has to have bed rest as it can reoccur at any time. Poor mite is missing all the fun Xmas activities at school. We have our fingers crossed it doesn't show up again.
Last night we had a phone call to say that Rob's dad has suffered another stroke, so things aren't looking good.
So I am spending time with my family at the moment. My mum is also staying with us over Christmas.
I would just like to say
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
Hopefully 2008 will be a better one for our family.

Sad Times
Sorry I have not blogged in a while. Things have been a bit difficult for us. And to top it all Robbyn my youngest was admitted to hospital on Monday. Of course I stayed in the hospital with her. She was allowed to come home today but has to rest for several weeks. Maybe some time next week I will get a moment to make something.

My not so little boy
It was my youngest son's 6th birthday yesterday (5th), here he is with his football birthday cake.
It was such a shame as his Dad was away again with work.
Guess what he got for his birthday? It's an alien voice changer. Warning if your boy gets one of these you won't be listening to the TV for a while!!
The school had the Xmas play on the same day as Tyrrell's birthday , unfortunately Robbyn was unable to do her little star part as she has been off school ill for the past week. It was hard to get some good photos but here he is as a wiseman.
Sugar Nellie Knight
Here's my first card using the Sugar Nellie Knight. You can buy them from Funky Kits here and the Sugar Nellies also have a blog here.
I used prisma pencils and zest it to colour him in.

Bauble
Forgot to add this one. This was made for the DT too. It's made out of scallop circles, then scored into triangles. Then glued all together. I painted the little cotton reels gold and threaded some red ribbon through to make it hang. Quite easy to do but a bit fiddly if you're cack handed like me!!

So here is a card and a couple of gift bags I made for Xmas using my DT stuff. Most of it is from the HOTP monthly kits. And if you fancy any of it you could get a bargain as the HOTP kits are on offer at Crop 'til you Drop with 50% off!!!
