Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's challenge on the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge blog is

It's a wrap
A nice easy theme for everyone
this week! We would like you to wrap up your ATC with ribbon, string, paper,
wire, or anything else that comes to mind. The design is up to you, just
remember to use a cute faced image such as Magnolia, Hanglar, Alota or Cuddly
Buddly.
Here is my ATC. I've used an Alota stamp for this one. She's been coloured in with promarkers and some areas have been highlighted with a clear star sakura pen. The orange backing papers are from Stampin Up. I wrapped some purple fibres around the ATC for the theme and then added a tape sentiment which says "spooky" using a tape machine.

If you would like to join in with this week's challenge you can find all the details on the blog here

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

This week's challenge is a sketch designed by the very talented Camilla.

Here is the sketch

And here is my card
I'm really sorry but I don't have a clue who makes the stamp as I was given it in an image swap ages ago. Looks a bit Whippersnapperish to me. I've coloured it in with promarkers and a clear star sakura pen. All the papers are by Papermania and the lace borders are by Papercellar. I used my nestabilities to cut the circles out. I tied some ribbon around the main image and added the snowflake charm for an embellie and then added the two snowflake brads.

Papers:- Papermania - naughty or nice

Lace borders:- Papercellar

Snowflake brads:- Dovecraft

Snowflake charm:- Jeneca Beads

Tagged

Ok so I know I am soooo bad at doing this sort of thing, I think to myself I'll do it later when I've got time and then I forget all about it. I apologise now if you've ever tagged me and I haven't followed it on. I do appreciate it and love to receive the messages. I'm doing this one now because Michelle tagged me (thank you Michelle) and I thought right do it now while you remember..... ( and DH has taken over the TV to play his PS3 anyway! ;0) )

Here are the rules....

1. Link your tagger and list the rules on the blog
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of the post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blog.

So here are my 7 facts all about me..

1. I am very quiet and shy. I hardly speak to anyone in "real" life only DH and kids. ( Don't feel sorry for me it's the way I like it):0)

2. I am a perfectionist.

3. I'd rather be with animals than people.

4. I completely loose it when I get the giggles. Can't speak, breathe or stand up.

5. I passed my driving test the first time , 14 years ago, drove once on my own but have never driven since. I absolutely hate being a passenger in a car on the motorways and Rob tells me to read a mag because I am so bad.

6. I'm desperate for DH to get out of the army and for us all to live a "normal" life by the sea.

7. I've lived in Germany for 7 years but I still can only speak and understand the really basic words.(shame on me).

Can I add just one more? I'm extremly proud of all my kids and the things they have achieved.

I know most of these girls have probably been tagged already but I'd like to nominate them anyways.
It's to all the girls on the DTs that I am on, Alota, Tilda & Co, Tilda & Friends, A Spoon Full Of Sugar and Cute Card Thursday. They always surprise and amaze me with their fantastic work , week after week. Thank you to all of you.

Tilda & Co challenge blog

Another Sunday and this week on the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog it's challenge # 38 and it's a sketch.

Here is the sketch

And here is my Autumnal card. I turned my sketch around to do this card.

I've used Basic Grey papers for this one. On the first layer I used a plain mustard coloured piece of BG and stitched around it with burgundy thread. I then layered onto it a patterned BG paper. Using plain BG I made two ovals with my cricut and then two strips with a word window punch. I added a brad to each of the strips. The tab was cut out using my wizard and then I embossed over it with a cuttlebug embossing folder. I then went over it with sandpaper to make the embossing stand out. Next I coloured in the Magnolia image with promarkers but then I cut out some more of the stamped flowers to make it 3D. I then adhered her to the ovals. Then finally I added the burgundy ribbon and the blooms and leaves. I think it is very Autumnal looking don't you?

Stamp:- Magnolia

Papers:- Basic Grey - Perhaps

Blooms & leaves:- Prima

Strips:- SU word window punch

Ovals:- Cricut cartridge-Plantin Schoolbook

If you would like to join in with this week's sketch challenge the details are all on the blog here

One lucky winner will win a ticket stamp this week.

Christmas Wishes

This card is a just because I felt like it card. I was looking through my sketches and came across this one by Tiets. Thank you Tiets. (if you read my blog!)

It's a fantastic sketch and I'm sure I'll be using it again.

And here is the card I made using it.

The image is again from American Art Stamps and is from the Winter Wonderland set, as is the sentiment. I layered up the image and sentiment onto grey card and then went around the edges with a sakura clear star pen. I also added some of the pen to the image. All the papers are from a Dovecraft pad. To give it a bit more sparkle I added the snowflake embellies and the gems.

Stamp:- American Art Stamps - Winter Wonderland

Papers:- Dovecraft - Winter Wonderland pad

Snowflakes:- Papermania Elements

Cute Card Thursday

This week's challenge on the Cute Card Thursday blog is....

Lots of Sparkle

You can add bling, glitter, baubles, stickles, anything that makes your card
sparkle!

Here is my card. Of course with sod's law you can't see the sparkle properly but in real life it sparkles beautifully!! The main image is called Cupcake from American Art Stamps. I've coloured it in with promarkers and then added diamond stickles and gone over some areas with a sakura clear star pen. I then sponged the edges with ink and layered it onto some purple card to match the papers. All the papers are from a pad from Papermania. The sentiment is from another American Art stamp set. To finish it off and give it a bit more sparkle I added some purple gems.

Stamps:- American Art Stamps

Papers:- Papermania - Sweet Nothings

The DT have made some beautiful items this week so why not go over to the blog and see for yourself and maybe join in? You can find all the details here

http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

This week there is a great stamp to be won for one random winner. It's a Sugar Nellie stamp called Christmas Honey.

Friday Sketchers

Just had time to get my Friday Sketchers card done. Is it me or are the weeks flying by????

Anyway here is the sketch designed by Kristine this week.

And here is my take on the sketch

I've used an American Art Stamp set called Dogs for this card, coloured in with promarkers. The image and the sentiments are from the set. All the papers used are from K&Co. I've used some metallic thread to make the 3 stripes down the left hand side. Finished off with some little gems.

Stamps:- American Art

Papers:- K & Company

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog

A bit of a change this week for the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge blog.

Something Different

This week we would like you to do something different with your ATC. Although
Artist Trading Cards are meant to be traded, sometimes we make them for a blog
challenge and end up with a pile in a box, so this week we hope to give you some
ideas for using them on 'Something Different'.

Here is my ATC.

And here is my card that I used the ATC for as the main image.

I've used a School Tilda for this one and framed here with a stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller. It's a clear frame stamp with a little flower stamp to go with it. I coloured over the frame with a white signo pen and also gave it some sparkle with a sakura clear star pen. Pity you can't see it on the photo. I've used the flower stamp to decorate the background paper. The sentiment is from a stamp set from Hero Arts called Sparkle Clear. All the papers are from a Basic Grey pad. And the lace border across the middle is a paper cellar self adhesive tape that I got on Saturday from Hobbycraft. (sshh I got 3 different ones!) I just added some photo corners to the top paper to finish it all off.

Stamps:- Magnolia & Rachelle Anne Miller

Sentiment stamp:- Hero Arts - Sparkle Clear

Papers:- Basic Grey - Perhaps

Lace border:- Paper Cellar

Photo corners:- Ellison thin cut die.

If you would like to have a go at this challenge, and remember you can use any "cute faced character" stamps now, then pop over to the blog. You can find it here

http://tildaandfriends.blogspot.com/

The DT have again made some great ATCs and projects.

Mellow Yellow/ Children in Need

The Papertake Weekly Challenge blog have come up with a fantastic idea to help Children in Need. The theme is

Mellow Yellow / Children in Need

They've asked everyone to make a yellow card so that they can send them off to Children in Need who will then make them all into a giant Pudsey Bear card. This will then hopefully break the record of making the biggest handmade card. Here's the criteria

You're able to use any products/materials you like but the finished card
needs to be yellow!! The preferred size for the card is a standard A6 (approx
4x6 in).

Here's my card. I used 3 Magnolia stamps for this one and paper pieced Tilda's dress and socks with some scrap papers. I then used promarkers to colour in the rest of the images. I 3D her onto a nestability square, which I sponged with blue and saffron inks. I love the background paper it is so cheery. I then used a square brad along with two circle brads for embellies.

Stamps:- Magnolia

Paper:- Sweetwater - squeeze

Brads:- Papermania & SU rhinestone brads

Why not join in too, it's for a very worthwhile charity!! :0) All the details are here

http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

This week's challenge on the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge blog the theme is

So Charming

To use a charming character or Charms on your card

For my card I've used a Forever Friends stamp, inked up onto a nestability square and coloured it in with promarkers. I used a Forever Friends paper pad for all the papers. I then added a strip of ribbon and hung two charms from it. The charms were meant to be little snowflakes but I coloured them in with a sakura pen to make them look like flowers. The sentiment is from another Forever Friends stamp. And the final touch was two blooms with a brad in the middle.

Stamps:- Forever Friends

Papers:- Forever Friends - Party Time

If you would like to join in with this weeks "charming" challenge you can find all the details here

There's also a great prize this week of a CC Designs "Wintertime Fun" stamp kit. Wish I could enter!

House Mouse & Friends

The challenge on the House Mouse & Friends blog this week is...

Stitching

We would like to see stitching of any kind on you work. This could be a
reference to stitching in the text/sentiment. Real or faux stitching or just use
a stamp that would fit the theme!!

Here is my card. I've stitched around all the layers of my card with a green thread (I found a new stitch on my sewing machine!). The image was sent to me a while back now so sorry I can't remember who it was. I've used promarkers to colour it in. All the papers are by Basic Grey. On the bottom layer I used two embossing border folders and cut around one of them to make a scalloped edge. To finish off I added some gems and a photo corner.

Stamps:- House Mouse

Papers:- Basic Grey Sultry

Wading For You

I love this stamp from Alota, showing off the fuller figure lady. Great stamp don't you think? She's called Beach Lady and the sentiment "wading for you" matches perfectly which is also from Alota.

I've used my nestabilities to creat the embossed circle for her to stand on and then layered her onto a scalloped circle. I then coloured her with promarkers. I cut out some words from the papers and layered them onto a word window punch shape. All the papers have been layered onto cream cardstock and to finish I added the Alota sentiment.

And then an extra snowflake to the top right hand corner.
