How about a sketch this week.....Below you will see the sketchPlease make your
work using the Sketch as your guide,You can rotate the sketch & even resize
the Elements if you would like to,But do not move the elements around,As long as
we can still see the original sketch layout and can be easily recognised then
that is fine!
Lorraine set the challenge this week with a sketch. It's a good sketch and I enjoyed using it.
This week I've kept it simple and used my brand new stamp Tilda with bird that I received from Donna for being in the DT from the start. Thanks Donna. I paper pieced her with some cardstock and matching paper from the background set. I used a white signo pen to highlight some areas and of course diamond stickles for her wings. The background paper has some lovely colours in it and I thought using black and pink cardstock to layer it would make the colours stand out. I then just added the embellies , a ticket which I stamped a small butterfly on, some square brads and a layered bloom.
If you would like to have a go at the sketch you can find all the details here
Have fun and I look forward to seeing all your lovely creations.
For a chance to win this candy you can find all the details here

Not my usual size card I'm used to doing a 5 x5 square card this one is 4x5 3/4 . All the card blank, papers, ribbon and cardstock come from a Sarah's cardmaking kit. I'm not sure who makes the papers. The welcome sentiment is by SU.
The image is by Penny Black of course and I've sponged the edges of the image with a distress ink.
Details of the challenge can be found here

Now, if this fills you with horror, as it did me, you are allowed to make your
own patterned paper or card by stamping, inking, doodling etc. on plain paper or
cardstock. You can emboss, tear and add anything else you like. The only
restriction is no 'bought' patterned paper!
I chose a white , square card for this one. I used a SU jumbo wheel to decorate the darker card and embossed it with transparent embossing powder. For the upper lilac card I used a SU stamp set and set off the flowers with a white dot to each of the centres. I also used the sentiment from the same stamp set. The two flower embellies are SU stamps which I've done two step stamping to and then added a zoomz to each centre and then adhered them to the ribbon. The image is a whippersnapper one , coloured in with prismas and zest it. I've added a little gem to the centre of that flower too.
Stamps:- Stamping Up - Simply Said & jumbo wheel Petals & Whippersnapper
Cardstock:- Stampin Up

We would like you to make a card using any type of check paper Ribbon or Brads, ect somewhere on the design.
I've made a gatefold card for this challenge. I used a pink card for the base and covered it in some pink and then green checked papers. I made the sunflower with checked papers and my cricut, several layers on this sunflower. I then cut out some branches shapes again using my cricut and layered two colours onto each other and then added some tiny diamond and gold peel offs. The Hanglar images were both coloured in with prismas and zest it. To finnish off I added the bloom and several more peel offs.
Here is the card open. You can get a better view of the branches this way.
Stamps:- Hanglar & Stanglar
Cricut:- Cartridge - Stretch your imagination

Would love to see the Use of Dots on your work this week,
A Little Easier
than last week’s!
So grab all things Dottie and get creative!
For this card I used a black blank card and added a piece of light green card which I embossed with my swiss dots embossing folder. I then added the blue spotty paper to the bottom half. To cover the join I added some green ribbon. The frame has been made with my Cricut, a nice spotty one! I then added all the extras which came out of a Go Go Greetings kit. I then coloured in a Tilda with prismas and zest it and "sat" her on the spotty frame.

For my card I thought I'd try something different and decided to follow Claudia's brilliant tutorial for a double pocket card. Thanks for the tutorial Claudia you made it so easy to follow. I've used a Stampin Up simply scrappin kit for this. I was given the girl image by Christine , thanks Christine, but for the life of me I can't remember who makes them or what they are called!! She is like a dress up doll , you have the main body then dress up clothes for her to put on. I've put her clothes and accessories on with 3D pads to give them some depth. They have been coloured in the usual way with prismas and zest it.
Here's the two tags for the pockets. Again I've used the SU kit and some Bo Bunny rub ons.
If you'd like to join in with the Cute Card Thursday challenge then you can find all the details here

Papers:- American Crafts

To join in the fun with us, just create an ATC using at least one Magnolia stamp
- the facts and figures for ATCs are on the side bar. You don't have to take
your inspiration from Shakespeare's play, anything that reminds you of a
mid-summer evening/night will be fine.
We have a guest designer this week which is Jacqui and she chose this theme as it is her favourite Shakespeare play.
Ok you can laugh if you want to :0). I covered a blank ATC with some mesh dark blue material. I then coloured in Tilda and added some paper wings and a flower hat. Her skirt is also made out of mesh material. I added some diamond stickles to her sleeves and socks. And then I coloured in the toadstools and adhered them to the bottom of the ATC. I was thinking along the lines of fairies in the play? :0)
The DT have done a great job , why not go and have a look and get some inspiration? You can find all the details here
This week there is a Magnolia chair stamp up for grabs, so all you have to do is leave a comment with a link to your work and you could be the lucky one!!

is the theme of the Papertake challenge this week. Reds, oranges, hot pinks and yellows. I think my card fits that well don't you? :0)
I've used one of the fantastic Rakle Krilla stamp and coloured her in with hot pink and orange. I layered her onto some orange cardstock and added the pink zoomz and a little thin pink ribbon. The papers have been cut into different sized panels and I've covered the joins with some pink ribbon.
The sentiment is a rub on and more zoomz are added onto the spots at the bottom of the card.
Stamps:- Krilla , Rakle Stamps
Papers:- Memories Complete
Rub ons:- Bo Bunny
We would like you to make a card for any type of celebration, it could be
for a Birthday, new baby, wedding christmas, etc
Here is my celebration card for a birthday. For this card I cut off a section of the front so you can see the paper inside the card. I've used Lola with gift and coloured her with prismas and zest it and then layered her onto patterned paper and then onto cardstock. I cut out two of the roses that are on the inner paper and used 3D pads to adhere them to the front of the card.
Stamps:-Sugar Nellie Lola & Simon collection
Ovals:- Cricut cartridge Plantin Schoolbook

She's been really good and is completely toilet trained, she can obey commands like sit, stay, come, leave it, lie down. The only thing is that she is still getting us up several times a night to be let out for a wee. But she is good as gold.
Sunday, 15 June 2008
I've used Daisy Bucket papers cut into two triangles and then covered the join with ribbon. I layered the image onto some cardstock and coloured it in with prismas and zest it. I then added the embellishments. The two flourishes are made from felt with a bloom added to the middle. The sequins and brads are from Queen & Co. And lastly the sentiment was added with black stazon.
Stamps:- Penny Black
Papers:- Daisy Bucket
Sequins:- Queen & Co
Brads:- Queen & Co
Sentiment:- Stampin Up

I used lots of bits and pieces of paper that I had left over from my stash. I glued them randomly onto a piece of card overlapping them all then gold embossed some stamped images all over it. I then cut them into 2"x2" squares but you can cut them to whatever size you want. To make the corners I just cut four diagonals. I then glued the four squares onto some green card. For the background of the card I used a plain white card and cut out a rust piece of card 4cms smaller than the card blank. I embossed the flowers in black ink and clear embossing powder. and adhered it to the card. Next I added the serendepity piece of card with 3D pads. I coloured in the Tilda and chair with prismas and zest it and adhered them to the middle of the card with 3D pads. The "just for you" is a little square greeting that came free with a mag and then I just added the ribbon and hung it with a brad.
Not too sure serendepity is my "thing" but I had fun trying it out.
Stamps:- Magnolia, SU and foam stamps

The papers , and embellies are from a Stampin Up simply scrappin kit. The dragonfly, snail and hoppy birthday sentiment are a stamp set from Stampin Up also. I've used some diamond stickles and diamond glaze on the stamped images too , to add some dimension.

Bits & Pieces
The challenge this week is to use some of those bits and pieces of card and
paper which we all have lying around on our desks. We would like you to make
your ATC using bits and pieces which measure no more than 1" x 2" (2.5cm x 5cm)
- we won't be measuring though!
So for my ATC I used up lots of bits of my leftover papers and tore the sides of them. I coloured the "punky" looking Edwin in with prismas and zest it. Because I think Edwin looks punky I added some coloured staples to the top and bottom of the ATC. The "all boy" was made with my dymo machine.
Papers:- leftover bits from my stash
Lettering:- Dymo machine
There are some gorgeous ATCs again from the Design Team this week on the blog. Why not pop over and have a look and maybe get some inspiration?

Take 1 Sugar Nellie stamp
2 patterned papers
I tried to be a bit different this week and use my watercolour pencils, a bit more practise or back to the prismas I think!!! Her hat and her dungarees were coloured using the same pencil but seemed to have come out two different colours??? Anyway I've use pink paislee papers and prima papers for the two patterned papers. For the strip across the middle I used cardstock and then embossed it with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The sentiment is a rub on and is from Bo Bunny. And to finish off the recipe I've used 3 flower brads and a bloom. The bottom left corner looked a little bare so I added a narrow piece of ribbon to the image with a little basket of tulips charm to hang down.
Papers: Pink Paislee & Prima
Stamps:- Sweet Ebony- picking apples
Cuttlebug embossing folder:- stylized flowers
Sentiment:- Bo Bunny rub on
There is a chance to win a stamp this week too. And it's the one I have used on my card "Pickin Apples". All you have to do is leave a comment on the blog with a link to your work and Deb will randomly pick a winner.
