A Spoon Full Of Sugar

This week's theme for the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge blog is
Summer

And here is my card
I have used two digi images from CC Designs called Surfer Emma and Sea Shell Trevor. They have been coloured with promarkers. The card is Bazill bling and I have used it to layer up the papers. The papers are all from a pad called Summer by DCWV. I cut out some of the shells from the paper and used 3D pads to make them stand out. The sentiment has been made with a tape writer.

We have a fab Guest Designer this week and that is Michele, she has made a gorgeous summer card using a Magnolia stamp. Really pretty!

We also have a great prize this week from the Cutting Cafe. 3 sets of digi stamps are up for grabs.

Cute Card Thursday

The weeks are flying by and it's Thursday again already!! Today on the Cute Card Thursday blog the challenge is

Wheely Good Fun

Here is my card

I have used a Stampin Up set for this one called Paris in the Spring. I have coloured her in with promarkers. I made the little eiffel tower charm by stamping it onto shrink plastic and then cutting it out and adding a little hole to the top. When I'd shrunk it I added some silver thread to hang it. The sentiment is also from the same kit. The papers are from a Sarah's cardmaking kit and the ribbon, brad and gems are from my stash.

Our sponsor for this week is Marlene and she is offering up a set of rubber stamps from Stampin Up. Pic is on the blog.

We also have a GD this week and that is Wendy of Wendy's little blog.

The DT have made some fab Wheely cards this week, you can see them all on the Cute Card Thursday blog here.

Inky Impressions Challenge 3

Inky Impressions challenge #3 this week is for a recipe:

3 buttons
2 designer papers
1 ribbon

So here is my recipe project, a door plaque for my youngest daughter.

The two base layers have been made with Bazill bling cardstock. The pink layer has been punched with a Martha Stewart punch to give the scalloped edge. I cut out the Robbyn using my Cricut and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. They have been made with two designer papers both by College Press from the Sugar Plum range. I then stamped, coloured and cut out the Inky Impression girls and adhered them to the letters with 3D pads to make them stand out. I then used the 1 ribbon around the "R" and the 3 green buttons on the "B's" and the "N".

We'd love you to play along with the challenge if you have any Inky Impression stamps. If you don't have any and would like to buy some you can find them here in the Inky Impressions online shop.

Some of the other DT members "The Inspirational Inkettes" have also made some gorgeous projects using the recipe and you can see them on the Inky Impressions challenge blog here.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

Morning everyone, it's a lovely summer's day here. Onto todays Tilda & Friends ATC challenge and this week it is

3D Fun

The image is an Alota image, one of the new bug stamps and it's called "Cutting rose bugs". I have made it smaller to fit my ATC there is also another bug on the stamp.I stamped it twice and coloured both. I then adhered one of the images to the ATC with 3D pads. I cut out the rose head and the bug out of the second image and then layered it onto the first and again used 3D pads to adhere it.I used a clear star pen to the wings and rose and also some diamond glaze.

You can see the other DT members ATCs over on the blog here.

I was sent the couple image by Vicky so sorry I don't know who makes it! I've coloured it with promarkers, cut it out and used 3D pads to adhere it. The paper is from a DCWV pad and is called Once Upon A Time. I cut out a square of the paper and layered it onto a plainer one and then as I had some swirls left I cut those out and adhered them with 3D pads too.

The other DT girls have made some gorgeous wedding cards too and we also have a guest designer this week. And that is Anita.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

For the theme this week on the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge we have a sketch designed by Michelle. And a great sketch it is too.

And here is my take on the sketch.

For the main image I have used an Inky Impressions stamp called LiLi with chicks. Gorgeous stamp and you can now buy the Inky Impressions stamps at the store, it is now open. The link is also in my side bar. I have coloured her with promarkers and copics.Have you noticed her little finger nails and toe nails? I coloured them with a glittery pen too and also her little bracelet. For the little chicks I have used some yellow flock. All the papers are from a Sarah's cardmaking kit and sorry I don't know who makes them. The ribbon, gems and blooms are from my stash. For the sentiment I used a warm words stamp from SU and layered it onto two punched out word window shapes.

We have a Guest desinger too this week and that is Tab , she has made a gorgeous card, very vintagey looking.

We also have a prize for one lucky winner and that is 3 digistamps donated by Kendra from Character Cafe.

Inky Impressions Grand Opening and Blog Hop

This post will stay at the top until Saturday, when the blog hop ends. Please scroll down to see new posts. Thank you. :0)

Well the day of the grand opening and blog hop is here! I know you are going to love the brand new stamps, very cute. The quality of these stamps are brilliant, very deeply etched and made from red rubber. After having a play with them I got a crisp, clean image every time.

Nicole (Inky's Mama, the boss) is starting this grand opening on her blog with the blog hop.So you need to go right back to the beginning to Nicole's blog. You will then have to "hop" onto the next Inspirational Inkette's (the Design Teams collective name)blog. If you follow the blog hop all the way to the end you have a chance to win some gorgeous blog candy!! Which is.....
1 Inky Impressions stamp
Prima flowers
American Craft flowers
and an array of embellishments.

To show you some inspiration for these gorgeous stamps each of the Inspirational Inkettes has made two projects. Nicole has designed these stamps and named them after her two little girls.
My first project is an acetate candy box. Here is a front view.

And here is a side view.

The image is of course an Inky Impression stamp and is called "LiLi's chicks". I have taken out the chicks and made it look as though she is pointing at the sentiment. This is an Easter stamp but you can see how versatile you can make it. She has been coloured with promarkers and copics. I used a SU scrapbooking set for the lids and embellies. As you can see I made the box with a sheet of acetate. The decorative border was made with a Martha Stewart punch.
My second project is an acetate card.

I made a card this time with a sheet of acetate and stamped the background with a pearly white ink. I then cut out a frame with my Cricut using Accent Essentials. This image is an Inky Impressions stamp called "Angelica's Heart Socks". She has again been coloured with promarkers and copics. I have used a sakura soufle pen to colour her hairband and shoe laces. I have also used a sakura clear star pen and a glaze pen on all the little hearts. I used some blooms and punched out some flowers from acetate to put in the middles. I then added the brads. To finish off I added two entwined ribbons and a silver charm.
Ok so now you need to go over to the next Inspirational Inkettes blog to see the gorgeous inspiration she has for you! And the next one is....Sem over on her blog , Semsee's Sparkly Scribblings.

Alota stamps

Here's a peek at just one of the new stamps Helene has on the Alota website. There are several new bug stamps and also some other transport and character stamps. You can see them all here on the Alota website.
For my card I've used the Staying Cool bugs.

The papers and blooms have all been printed out using a digikit called "Grins & Giggles" at Nitwit Collections.

I have paper pieced some of the image using the same background papers and the other bits I have coloured with promarkers.

Cute Card Thursday

This week's theme on the Cute Card Thursday blog is

Nip and a punch

We were lucky enough to be given some products to play with from "Shortcuts". We were given some gift folder cards and some clear and frosted card blanks.

We have a new Guest Designer for this week and that is Jilly from Jilly's Creations.

Here are my cards.

I've shown you two photos of my frosted card so you can get a better idea as it was difficult to show.
So first of all I used a SU wheel with versamark ink to make the background. I then dusted over some perfect pearls which stuck to the versamark. I think it makes a lovely effect especially on clear cards. The image is a Gorjuss girl from the Sugar Nellie range. I also used the same technique for her, using versamark and perfect pearls. I then layered her up onto the scalloped square. I used my Cricut to make this die cut square. I then punched out the flowers using two different sizes of punch and added a gem to the middles. To finish off I added the sheer ribbon.

My second card is the gift folder card. Again I went over the blank with a SU wheel using versamark ink and then dusted over with perfect pearls in a gold colour. For the inside I did the same thing but used a very pale colour. The images are from Alota stamps. They are brand new bug images and there are a few just come out. I coloured them with promarkers and cut them out. I adhered them with 3D pads. The little music notes are die cuts and the sentiment is from a Stamp Away clear stamp.

Want to try ShortCuts for yourself, while saving money at the same time?!?! Just visit their Online Store and enter the discount code “cct15” during checkout and receive 15% off your order!! *15% will be taken off package price(s) only, not S/H charges. Orders must contain at least $5.00 in product, and be placed before June 20, 2009.
The prize this week is a sampler of products from Shortcuts and we have two to give away. All the details are on the Cute Card Thursday blog here.

Here is the sketch

And here is my card

For the main image I have used a Gorjuss girl and coloured her in with a mixture of promarkers and copics. The papers are from Pebbles Inc. I used a die cut flourish and dcorated it wth gems and all the blooms are from my stash. The sentiment "hello" is a Hero Arts clear stamp.

We also have a guest designer this week and that is Maren.
