Quick & easy

Today I made two very quick and easy items. The first is a Tilda mobile phone charm. Just stamped out onto white shrink plastic and coloured in with prismas.
The second is a card I made with some lovely images that I received from Kim. Thanks Kim :-). I coloured her in using prismas and zest it, added some stickles to the wings and water. The two flowers are from Prima and I added to the centre a zoomz, which I won a pot of from Caz. Thanks Caz :-).

Paper-: HOTP Xmas pad (from last year!)
Stamped image:- Whippersnapper
Flowers:- Prima
Gem:- Zoomz

Triangle Tri-fold

Here's a nice quick card to make. Another one from the SCS projects. It's made from one piece of cardstock and a couple of bits of patterned paper. The papers and rub ons are from my GoGo Create October kit. To keep it closed I used a piece of ribbon.

Papers:- October Afternoon
Rub Ons:- October Afternoon
Scalloped circle: Cricut monogram cartridge

Different cards

I sometimes like to do a different sort of card IYKWIM. So I've been looking on SCS for some ideas. I've printed off some instructions and this one is the first I tried out. It's called a criss cross card. The stamp set is an acrylic set called Robins from Woodware. I bought it last year and hardly used it, also the same with the papers, I got them from QVC as a kit. So a bit of recycling done today. The little cricle stamp , Happy Holidays is from a set from Stampin Up. The images are coloured in with prisma pencils and zest it. The little tab to pull the insert out with, is done with my cricut. I also added some glossy accents to the berries on the pud and some stickles on the snow on the postbox.
Now which one shall I make next??

Yay!!!

The kids are all back at school today so I was able to get into my craft room and create. This is a card using the Artylicious Season's Greetings CD. There are some lovely paper designs. (Thanks George, you do have your uses then!). I used some stickles to put sparkle on her wings and some glossy accents on the fire to make it stand out a bit.

Sorry...

Sorry I've been neglecting my blog!! DH came home Friday and brought me back some goodies. The new Martina Cole book and I also got the new Zelda game for the DS. Taken a bit of my weekend up. On Saturday we managed to go out to Paderborn and do some Christmas shopping. The kids are off school this week for half term so I won't get much time to sneak off to my room. I also have a few stamped images to do and my new monthly GoGo Create kit to play with and.. I'm also expecting my DT kit to arrive at any time. My images from the Magnolia swap turned up too!!! I have sooo much to play with and not enough free time at the moment. Probably back to normal next week with the kids going back. :-)

World's Best Daddy

A two in one card today. I wanted to do a sketch challenge for another blog and also make a card for Rob from the kids as he is coming home soon. Quite a simple card but being a man's card I think it looks better.

Fall

Oops I had to go back and make another one for the blog candy comp. I didn't read it properly , it gave a sketch but I didn't read it had to be a Fall card. So here it is.

Stamps:- Magnolia
Papers:- Basic Grey Mellow
Leaves:- Prima

For You

This one I've made for a blog candy comp. Okay so this will be the last Whippersnapper image I'll do for a bit now. I've used a new product with this stamp to colour it in. I thought I'd have a go at using Zest It pencil blender. I can recommend it for your colouring in, it blends really smoothly. It also has a lovely smell!

Stamps:- Whippersnapper & text is SU
Papers:- Basic Grey Periphery

Lean on me

For this one I used some little buttons and threaded some glittery thread through. No idea where I got them from as I've had them ages.

Stamps:- Whippersnapper
Papers:- Center City Design
Die cuts:- Quickutz flourish & Ellison photo corners

Swap?

Has anybody any other Whippersnapper stamps that I have already not used please? I would like some different stamped images. In return I have quite a few Magnolia stamped images that I could send you. Or... sorry just thought some Inky Antics images.
Please leave me a message if you would like to do a swap.

Thanks.

I miss you

Here's todays card, another Whippersnapper image. I think this sort of card is called a "latch" card, not too sure though. It has a strip of paper at the bottom which tucks into the tab. A strip of the right side of the card has been cut off to show the paper inside of the card too. IYSWIM.

Robbyn's Cards

As promised Robbyn's hard work from this afternoon. Not bad for a 4 year old!! :-)

One of a kind

Me and DD who is 4 had a little time together in the craft room this afternoon. I'll scan her cards and pop them on my blog later. I made this card, don't worry there is only two more Whippersnapper images to come!!

On a roll...

So today I used the Birthday Koala from Whippersnapper. Usual way of colouring. I stapled the ribbons to the card and used some brads to finnish off.

Another whippersnapper image coloured in. This time I used my GoGo Create September kit.
Stamps:- Whippersnapper
Papers:- Heide Grace

Birthday Bear

Okay so I cheated today. I've run out of mineral spirits so I used.......
Baby Oil to blend the prismas and it worked just as well. All the papers are from last years HOTP pad and would you believe it's a Christmas paper pad. Think it's an improvement from the last card.

Card below

No I definately don't like my last card. I think I'm better at using prismas and mineral spirits for colouring and not watercolours.
Will try harder!

Aunt Mildred learns to knit.

Ok so it's not as bad as I thought. Kids back at school and fingers crossed no one else gets it.
I made this card today but not too sure about it. I love the text though, typical Xmas! I fiddled and fiddled with it and finally gave up and stuck it all down. I've had these papers since last year and couldn't decide what to do with them, so now they've been used.

Tuesday

Hi
I don't think there will be anything from me for a couple of days. I was up last night with child no 3, mopping up floors, walls and washing bedding. The dreaded sickness bug is going round his school. I bet that his little sister will get it next as she is in the same school. And do you know what? I said to DH before he went, I bet the kids get sick, they always do when he is away. Off to give out more cuddles.
Have a good day everyone :-)

Bank Holiday

Nothing to show today I'm afraid as I have the two little 'uns off school, it's a German bank holiday today. Strange really as the two eldest have to go to school but the little 'uns school follow the German and not the English bank holiday??
At least we've had some sunshine today and it's quite warm so they have been able to play in the garden.

Anniversary

It's our 7th Anniversary today and Rob is away until November. He left me a card to open and I have just picked up my emails and there was an electronic card too. I listen to the Forces radio BFBS and he had sent in a message for me saying that he loves me very much and how I am his world. It had me in tears. Mind you he will get slated for it when he gets back to work for being so slushy!
He is also my world, my soulmate and I miss him terribly.
So Rob if you get a chance to read this while you are away

I love you so much and I can't wait until you are home again.xxxx

Mellow Tilda

Here's a Tilda card I made this morning. I've used a Magnolia stamp and an Inky Antics too. I distessed all the papers by rubbing the edges with sandpaper, I think it gives quite a nice effect. I also sanded the "Happy Birthday" text. First I embossed it using a cuttlebug folder and then rubbed gently over it. I also used my sewing machine with a zig zag stitch to go round the papers.

Stamps:- Magnolia & Inky Antics
Papers:- Basic Grey Mellow
Die cuts:- Cricut & Quickutz
Ribbon:- HOTP kit
