Here's the video and Milly Molly is the one who looks into the camera and whines!!

Our new baby

I had to show off these photos! We just got back from picking out our puppy. Here is Milly, she is 5 weeks old so we can't take her home just yet. It will be the 30th May when we get her. She is one of 8, 5 boys and 3 girls. And she is adorable. We got to meet her mum and she was the most sweet tempered dog I have ever met. Oh by the way Milly is a lab/retriever. We plan to make a few more trips before we pick her up to have a play with her and introduce her to the kids.
What do you think? Isn't she adorable?

I also have some video with me and Milly and her mum. I'm going to try and figure out how to put it on my blog later.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's ATC Challenge is

May Celebrations

Here in Cornwall we have lots of Spring celebrations and in years gone by
every village had it's May queen and dancing around the maypole in celebration
of the brighter and warmer days and the blossoming of the fruit trees. So this
week we would like to see your ATC creations with this theme.

I have to admit I found this a difficult one but this is what I came up with. Tilda and the watering can are both from the new Magnolia spring stamp club. They are coloured in with prismas and zest it. All the other bits are from my stash, little bits of left overs! I made a little bit of a change with the shape of the ATC I added a little tab to put the "may" on. All the edges of the ATC were inked with a cats eye chalk ink.

There's been some amazing creations on the ATC Challenges so far and I'd love to see more of your creations including this week's "May Celebration" ATCs. Just pop over to the blog and have a look at the other DT members work, so inspiring! You'll find all the details on how to join in too. You can find the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge blog here

Tyrrell's door hanger

A couple of posts back I made Robbyn a door hanger for the girly but blue challenge so Tyrrell asked me to make him one too. And here it is....

For the basic door hanger shape I used the Cricut cartridge, Tags, bags boxes and more and I've used Urban Lily papers for this one. The images are all Magnolia stamps from the Shabby Chic range. I've coloured them in with prismas and zest it. For the "Tyrrell" I used the Cricut cartridge Plantin Schoolbook. To finish it off and give it a bit of a grungy look I sponged over distress ink.

Stamps:- Magnolia

Papers:- Urban Lily

Cricut cartridges:- Tags, bags, boxes and more & Plantin Schoolbook

Tilda & Co Challenge Blog

This week's challenge is....

EYE EYE ITS A NATURAL FEELING....

For this week's challenge it's abit of a double up,I Would like to see you
use Eyelets if possible ( if you do not own them, then you can leave that part
out or use brads)Along with anything Natural, Could be fibres, Leaves, Straw,
Twigs, Papers etc as long as it is Natural with Eyelets ( if you have them
)

For my card I have used.... the background paper is a handmade paper with real petals in it. Tilda, the bale of hay and the horse have been paper pieced with the same natural handmade papers. The horse's hooves are paper pieced with petals, which was a bit difficult because they are so delicate and prone to tearing!! So a few choice words were used!! The horse's mane is wool. I used string to wind around the bale and then I used some rafia on the bottom of the card to make it look as if straw had been lain down. To finish off a dragonfly eyelet and three other eyelets have been used.

Stamps:- Magnolia
Papers:- handmade natural papers

This week there are two competitions on the blog. One to choose which DT winner did the best work. On the blog there is a poll for you to vote for the Design team member who did the best on the challenge.

Ismaki Challenge

It's # 16 of the Ismaki challenge this week and it's a sketch by Beatrix

I have to admit I had some trouble with this one fitting things on , so you'll have to forgive me as it's not 100% true to the sketch. But I did manage the option of using 4 patterned papers.

Here's my card. The Tilda is from the new shabby chic range. I'm loving these at the moment. Usual way of colouring, prismas and zest it. I used the cricut for the scallop and embossed it with a cuttlebug folder. All the papers are from the range Foof a la. The felt letters are from Making Memories and are called "note worthy".
You can find all the details for the challenge here
http://ismaki.wordpress.com/

Papers:- Foof a la
Stamps:- Magnolia
Scallops:- Cricut cartridge, mini monograms

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

Well this week Annie decided on the theme
"Going Dotty"
because she is going dotty! Annie has had lots of problems with her internet and computer.

Here's my dotty ATC. I was sent some gorgeous images from the new Shabby Chic range from Magnolia. How cute is she? She was coloured in with prismas and zest it and then I added some glitter gel to the dots on her hat and some diamond stickles to her wings. The fence was coloured in the same way and is from Magnolia too. The background paper is from a pad from HOTP. To the fence I added some little prima flowers with tiny diamond and gold peel offs. The sentiment was done by putting some co ordinating HOTP paper through my dymo to say "cute" and used a brad to stick it on. Oh and I also went around the edges of my ATC with a gold pen.

Papers:- HOTP
Stamps:- Magnolia
Flowers:- Prima

You can get all the details you need over on the Tilda & Friends blog which is here

http://tildaandfriends.blogspot.com/

I'm always in awe of what the DT have come up with, we are all given the same theme but the ATCs always turn out so different. And the DT create some stunning ATCs too, with lots of inspiration for you.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

For this week's challenge on the Papertake Challenge blog Katharina has done a sketch.

Here's my entry. I've used all Basic Grey Periphery papers for this one. I thought they were quite masculine. The wall was coloured in with prismas and zest it but then I sponged over it with vintage photo distress ink. I cut around the happy birthday and sponged that also with weathered wood distress ink on the words and then sponged around the edges with the vintage photo ink. I also sponged the edges of the card with the same ink. Edwin was coloured in with prismas and zest it also. I have to thank a lovely lady called Christine who sent me these new Magnolia images, thank you.

Papers:- Basic Grey - Periphery
Stamps:- Magnolia
Inks:- Tim Holtz distress inks

Tilda & Co Challenge

This week's challenge on the Tilda & Co blog is # 16

Girly but blue!

You don't see many girl cards/projects in blue very often, They are normally
pink! Well i would love you to make your projects this week in BLUE! Has to be
suitable for a female. This is a pretty broad challenge this week, It could be a
simple card, A altered art project etc

This week I have created a door hanger for my youngest daughter, Robbyn. I used a cricut cartridge for the base of the door hanger and covered it with HOTP papers. The name was also made with a cricut cartridge. All the stamps are from Magnolia and have been coloured in with prismas and zest it. I paper pieced Tilda's clothes with the same HOTP paper. The top looked a little bare so I added a charm which says " little angel" (yeah right) threaded through with some ribbon and a brad.

Papers:- HOTP
Stamps:- Magnolia
Base:- Cricut cartridge, Tags, bags & boxes
Name:- Cricut cartridge, Plantin Schoolbook

There are some lovely pieces of work on the Tilda & Co blog , plenty of inspiration so why not go over and have a look and then take part? All you have to do is make your piece and then leave a comment on the blog with a link to your work on your blog.

Spinner Card # 2

Here's # 2. Still can't see the tailgaiting properly (tut). Anyway this is the female version. The only thing that is different is the Simply Scrappin set and that is Confetti this time.
Doesn't help that I can't seem to take a proper photo either today!!

Stamps:- Stampin Up Loads of love & loads of love accessories
Card, paper & sentiment:- SU simply scrappin- Confetti

Spinner Card

I decided to have a go at one of these cards after seeing how it's done on Monica's blog. She has done a video with some great clear instructions. Her blog is fab , with some really clear, easy to follow tutorials. Oh and of course I get all my Stampin Up stash from Monica too. Thanks Monica ;0)

And here is the one I made. If you don't know how it works well there is 2 pennies behind the image and it rolls along the "channel".
I've used all Stampin Up products for this one. The van is from Loads of Love and the man and the dogs are from Loads of Love accessories. All the papers, card and sentiment are from a SU simply scrappin set called Round Up. The dogs along the bottom are a SU stamping around wheel called tailgaiting.
Hmm just had a thought it would have been better if I'd had stamped the wheel out on some card behind the image and put the patterned paper at the bottom. Ok a job for later on this evening then, if I can find more pennies, wonder if cents will work?!

Stamps:- Stampin Up - Loads of love, loads of love accessories and tailgaiting wheel.
Paper & card:- Stampin Up simply scrappin "Round up"

Bedford?

Hi

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's challenge on the Tilda & Friends ATC blog is.....

Wet & Windy!!!

(quite appropriate for me at the moment). Oh, not in as me but as in the German weather!! So it could be rain, snow, sea, water etc.

I used the Mermaid Tilda stamp for this. I coloured in her face, hair, arms and rock with prismas and zest it and then paper pieced her top and fish tail with some glimmery paper that I had. Her wings are covered in with diamond stickles. I used scraps of paper from my stash for the background and I think they are HOTP. That's the good thing about ATCs you get to use all those great bits of left over paper that you just can't throw away! To finish off I added zoomz to the right hand side and a gem to her top.

If you would like to have a go at this challenge you can find all the details here and also get some inspiration from the other DT members. Have a look they have done some great ATCs!!!

And you could win a set of fish stamps from Magnolia this week ( you can see them on Annie's ATC), all you have to do is make your ATC , leave a comment and your blog link on this week's challenge post. Easy!!

Stamp:- Magnolia
Embellies:- Zoomz

A good excuse to use two of my new stamps for this one. Coloured in with prismas and zest it again. All the papers, card and embellies are from a Stampin Up simply scrappin set. The long sentence and the word friends are also from Stampin Up sets. Friends was masked off from a loads of love accessories set.

Sweet Sugar Challenge # 6

This week's Sweet Sugar Challenge was a toughie for me. It was to make a card with cardstock only and NO papers!

Here's my card. I used embossing folders to try and jazz it up a bit. The main images' background was done by embossing the cardstock and then rubbing over it with ink on a sponge. I've since found a better way of doing this (tut). The image was kindly sent to me by Deb as we are currently looking for a puppy for our daughter. (me really!).Thanks Deb.
If you would like to have a go at the challenge and get some inspiration from the other DT members, have a look here on the blog..
http://sweetsugarchallenges.blogspot.com/

Sentiment:- Stampin Up Warm Words

Blog Candy Sketch

Another sketch challenge this time to win some wonderful High Hopes stamps on Ila's blog.

Here is the sketch that you had to follow.

And here is my take on the sketch. I used one of my new Magnolia stamps - Tilda in a field. I paper pieced her with the same papers I used as the backing papers which are from Daisy Bucket.
The sentiment "happiness" is from a SU set. Oh and I used some diamond stickles on her wings.

Papers:- Daisy Bucket
Stamps:- Magnolia & Stampin Up

Ila has some absolutely stunning work on her blog , you should go take a look , you can find it here http://www.artfullyila.blogspot.com/

A sketch

While browsing blogs I found this great blog belonging to Christa and she had a great sketch that she had designed on it. So I decided to have a go!
Here's the sketch ....

And here is my card. The image is a Rakle stamp coloured in the usual way. I sponged the edges of the image with a cat's eye chalk ink pad. I used October Afternoon papers. The pumpkin spotted card is bazill and I put it through my embossing folder. The buttons and the heart brad are just from my stash.

Stamp: Rakle
Papers: October Afternoon

Tilda & Co Challenge # 15

This week's challenge on the Tilda & Co blog is.... Ribbons Galore!!!

We would love to see lots of ribbon on your work,As many ribbons you can get on your work as possible. You all have heard of the saying "less is more" well we want MORE MORE MORE!You could use Ribbon Knots, Ribbon Bows Or even make your own fancy bow of our lot's of Ribbon.Let your creative flare release this week.
Once again your work could be a Card, LO ( scrapbook page ) Handmade Gift, Altered Art Item, Atc, anything that takes your fancy!

Here is my DT card. I used Scenic Route papers with a K&Co wild saffron chipboard button. The image was coloured in with prismas and zest it and then I cut her out and used 3D pads to adhere her to the card. I then punched holes down the right hand side of the card and threaded through the ribbons. The little chipboard button originally had string threaded through it but I took it out and again added some co-ordinating ribbon, which I also added to the bloom. I didn't waste the string either I've tied it around the broom!

If you would like to take part in the challenge all you have to do is make your item, be it a card, ATC, altered object etc , put it up on your own blog and then leave a comment with your link on the Tilda and Co Challenge blog.

Just Another Day.....

I received some new stamps the other day all the way from the US. They are acrylic stamps and I had a bit of a job finding the right ink to use on them, in the end I used black adirondak . I usually use Stazon but have seen that it can damage acrylic stamps. I used the adirondak because it was waterproof and I wanted to colour the image in and use zest it to blend.
All the stamps are little individual stamps so you can dress your monkey up how you want to. I think on this card I used about 11 tiny individual stamps!! I still have a lot more that I didn't use yet. Lots of masking going on here too. The sentiment is also part of the set.

Stamps:- Clear Dollar Stamps, Monkey Madness & Monkey Accessories
Paper & Card:- SU simply scrappin, Home Again.
