Friday Sketchers

There is a great sketch on the Friday Sketchers blog designed by Jacqueline. Here it is

And here is my card

I've use a House Mouse image coloured in with promarkers and then I cut it out and put it on an oval, cut out with my Cricut. All the papers are by K& Co. I embossed the two strips at the bottom with cuttlebug embossing folders. Then I just added the gems for embellishment.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

This week on the Papertake Weekly blog the challenge was a sketch designed by Dawny P. It is a great sketch too.

Here it is
And here is my card

I've used an Elzybell's image called "A Winter Song". She has been coloured in with promarkers and a sakura clear star pen. All the papers are from a DCWV pad called Rose Tinted Christmas and have been layered onto pink cardstock. The swirl and corners are chipboard which have been coloured with a lilac promarker and edged with the sakura pen. On the corners I have added some lilac gems and for the swirl I used versamark ink on a magnolia snowflake stamp to stamp the images, I then covered them with SU stick and heat powder and then poured over SU dazzling diamonds glitter. You can't really make out that they are snowflakes I think I should have used a less intricate stamp. Finally I added the 3 pink gems underneath the image.

Cute Card Thursday

Great theme this week on the Cute Card Thursday challenge, it's

Cheers!!

The challenge this week is to make 'Drink' themed cards, any type not just alcoholic ones!

Here is my card

I've used a Whiff Of Joy image for this one called "Charlie 007" isn't he great? I've coloured him with promarkers and highlighted with a white signo pen. The papers are all from Stampin Up and are called Spiced Cider. The senitment is also from Whiff Of Joy.

Whiff Of Joy Challenge

I was just starting this card when I had an email from Jacqui saying that I'd won the 2 week designer spot on the Whiff Of Joy Challenge blog. Coincidence ? I'm delighted to be chosen and look forward to the next two weeks working with such gifted designers.

Onto this week's challenge and it's
Colours
This week we have a color theme for you !!! Burgundy (red) and Green!!!!

Here is my card
I've used Carol singing Charlotte for this card and she's been coloured in with promarkers. A little clear star pen has been added to her hat. I also inked up the edges with a chalk ink. All the papers are from Bo Bunny Press, the Shabby Princess range. To embellish the card I added a strip of Papermania sticky ribbon and 3 green gems.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's theme on the Tilda & Friends ATC challenge is

Halloween

And here is my ATC

I had to download a paper off the net as I had nothing Halloweeny. I cut it to the size of an ATC and then ripped another piece to put along the bottom for some depth. I then coloured in the Halloween Tilda with promarkers using some sakura clear star to colour her bow, dress and the thistle. I then used a tape writer to make the sentiment.

I hope you will join in with this week's challenge, you can find all the details here

House Mouse Monday Challenge

This week's theme on House Mouse Monday Challenge blog is

Natural

I had a think about it and came up with this , not a lot of natural but I did use string!!
The idea for the box which is called a "Peek A Boo" treat box is from the Scor Pal site.

This is the top of the box with the gorgeous little House Mouse image. He has been coloured in with promarkers and layered onto some SU Dashing paper. The box itself has been made with red card and I used a SU wheel with red ink to make a pattern all over it. Then I tied the string around and knotted it up. Just a layered bloom with a little gem to finish off.
Here is the inside of the box. I used a piece of acetate to make the window and stamped over it the same way as the box. I then added some more string and another layered bloom. The tab was made from a Word window punch from SU.

If you would like to have a go at the challenge you can find the blog here

Just a note to let you know I am no longer on the Tilda & Co challenge blog Design Team. Not my decision.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

Wow the week's are just flying by , soon be the big day!!

This week's theme on the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge blog is

Sparkle & Bling

Here is my card

Quite a simple card because the paper is so gorgeous. It's from the DCWV Once upon a time pad. I cut out a piece that had the words on and then cut out the decorative square to 3D it onto the bottom right of the card as that was a little bare. I cut out the Magnolia images and coloured them in with promarkers and in true fashion I used a sakura clear star pen which hasn't shown up at all. But in real life it is very sparkly. The images have been adhered with 3D pads. And that's how I left it.

If you would like to join in with this week's challenge go over to the blog it's here

And here is my card using the sketch

I've used a Whiff Of Joy image for this challenge kindly sent to me by Patti. Thanks Patti. I've coloured it in with promarkers, managed to get myself 8 more colours on Saturday from a local shop. I cut around the image with a nestabilitie. I then layered that onto a scalloped circle cut out with my cricut. All the papers are from Stampin Up and are called Dashing. Sassy Crafts DT

So I made it into round two of applying for the Sassy Crafts DT!!! Out of the 5 ladies that were picked only two will get onto the DT. So the final challenge for us was...we had to make something without any ready made embellies. So we had to make our own embellies. After a long think this is what I came up with...

Here is my card
All the papers are by Cosmo Cricket and they are called Fleuriste. Gorgeous papers! I've stitched around the edges with a grey thread and in a zigzag stitch. The image is a House Mouse stamp and is called Wreath Love. I have coloured it with promarkers.

Now onto the embellies.

The blooms have been made with handmade papers which I punched with two different sized flower punches. To decorate them I stamped onto them with black stazon using a Stampin Up stamp from the "Simply Said" set. I then adhered the smaller one to the centre of the larger one and then added a little gem to each one. I used 3D foam pads to attach them to the card. The little bow at the top right has been made with a scrap of material. I stitched around the edges to tidy it up a bit. I then tied it in the middle. We were not allowed to use ribbon so I made this to look like a ribbon. Finally I made the two hearts with shrink plastic. I used the same SU set "Simply Said" to stamp onto the shrink plastic. I coloured in the image with a sakura gelly roll gold pen and a sakura clear star pen. I cut around the images and punched a hole in the top of each of them. I then shrunk them down. To "hang" them I threaded a gold thread through each of them and hung them from another handmade paper bloom.

So fingers crossed now!!

Whiff Of Joy Challenges

Finally got round to doing the Whiff Of Joy challenge, it was a sketch this week by Heather. Great sketch thank you.

Here is Heather's sketch

And here is my card.

For this card I used a terracotta cs for the background and you can't see it but I embossed it with a diamond cuttlebug folder. All the other papers used are from the new SU catalogue and it's a designer paper called Spiced Cider. The photo doesn't do it justice , they really are great colours for a masculine card. The image is called Matthew with present and he has been coloured with promarkers. The sentiment is also from the Whiff of Joy collection. I didn't want to use the blooms like the sketch as it felt too feminine but I did add some brown and cream brads.

Cute Card Thursday

Onto this week's theme at the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog and it's

The Stars At Night
This week we would like to see some stars or something
spooky on your cards.

Here is my card
I've used an Elzybell's image for this card called "Reindeer & Star". Usual way of colouring, promarkers. I then sponged over the main image with two contrasting chalk inks. All the papers are by Stampin Up and are called Wintergreen. I've stitched around the edges using a turquoise thread. Oh but the main image I've used a silver thread. For embellies I've used some silver HOTP star brads and a papermania square brad.

The DT have again made some fantastic cards why not go over and join in the challenge? You can find the Cute Card Thursday blog here

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

Another challenge card and this time it's for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. Kim has set the challenge this week and it is

Blue, White and a little bit of snowflake!
So here is my card

I've used an Elzybell's image called Mark and Ela. They have been coloured in with promarkers with a little bit of clear star pen. The papers are from a pad from Dovecraft called Winter Wonderland. I've stitched again (got a thing for stitching now) around the edges of the papers. I then added the spotty blue ribbon and added a papermania snowflake embellie. Then to finish off I added the clear gems.

Sketch Saturday

It's sketch # 21 on the Sketch Saturday challenge blog and here it is

And here is my cardI've used the lovely Melinda helping angel from the Whiff Of Joy range which was kindly sent to me by Fran, thanks Fran! She's been coloured with promarkers and a hint of sakura pens. All the papers are from a Basic Grey pad called Scarlet's Letter, ( I love BG, so very pretty) and I've stitched around the layers with a grey thread in a zigzag stitch. The blooms are from Prima. The little silver charm and spacers are all from ebay.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week's theme on the Tilda & Friends Challenge blog is..

Golden Tones

Well Autumn is definately upon us now and the leaves that are left on the
trees are brilliant shades of gold here in Cornwall. This week's theme is to
create an ATC using the Golden Tones of Autumn as your inspiration.

Here is my Golden Tone ATC

I've used last year's Autumn Edwin for my ATC and he has been coloured the usual way with promarkers. The background papers are from Basic Grey Mellow. The top paper I just stamped some leaves onto it. I've stitched around the edges and then just added the gems.

The DT have made some gorgeous Golden Tone ATCs this week, why not pop on over and have a look? You can find the details here

Alota lilly ladybug

Hello again, well you may be thinking blimey she is making a lot of cards!! Well I think I'm trying to keep myself busy and keep my mind off things. Quite a few things going on in my life now, some happy, some not so good and some scary!! As well as trying to work out where the money will come from for 4 kids at Christmas!! ;0)

Anyway onto my next card and it's one I've made to apply for a DT. I won't say which one I'll let you know if I'm sucessful at a later date.

The images are all from Alota stamps and they come as an unmounted sheet, they are called Lilly Ladybugs.
The usual way of colouring with promarkers and a hint of clear star pen. The sentiment is from the same sheet too. It's a great little set because there are a few sentiments on it to go with the images. I've stitched around the papers and cs with a lilac thread. All the papers are from BG and are the Euphoria collection. The brad is from Papermania.

Elzybell's Blog Challenge

The challenge on the Elzybell's blog this week is

Black & White and one other colour

Here's my effort

I've use an Elzybell's image called Bethlehem and all I have done to it is added some silver highlights on the star and windows and a clear gem to the star. I have then used some silver, black and white card to layer it up. Then I've added photo corners and some brads. The sentiment has been printed out on the computer and layered onto the same card as the image. I think the card is all from DCWV.

You can find the challenge here

House Mouse Monday Challenge

I look forward to seeing what the challenge is on House Mouse Monday but my heart sank a little when the challenge said "anything but a card". I make cards all the time lately so I didn't have a clue what to do. So... I hadn't used my Scor Pal yet and I've had it several weeks! I looked on the Scor Pal site and found this mini pizza box, really simple to make but looks very effective.

I may make a few more to put Xmas gifts into!

Sorry the photos aren't very good but it's gone very dark here, think we are in for a downpour!

Here is my mini pizza box

This is the top view

And here is the side view

I used a piece of pink Bazill cardstock for the base. The paper for the top square is K& Co and I added the paper lace ribbon around the sides. I then cut out the photo corners using my Wizard ( I use this for all my die cuts). And then added the little gems. The main image has been coloured in with promarkers and some little gems have also been added to the tea cup. I then added the same paper lace ribbon to all the sides.

Voila!! :0)
